Hi. I'm a writer, and I've been published on two different websites, plus I've been writing a story for this website. I think that I may wish to do writing a for a living. Though I don't know much about getting published or anything. I like to write short stories, mostly. And I'm pretty good at writing humorous stuff, and tear-jerkers. A little bit of everything. I'm good at writing sci-fi type stuff, or fantasy.

Right now, I just write for pleasure and fun.

Hello Everyone,

I have just finished writing a book called " A Touch of Peace" and it has just been published with publishamerica. I'm excited, because I believe this book will reach many hurting people who need encouragement from God. It's funny I thought it was a collection of poems, but when the people read it they tell me that the poems are not poems, but more like psalms. Praise God!

I must say that writing for me is really like medicine. I get to create and pour out my heart without no one really telling me I can't do that. The hard part of writing is sharing it with the world. You know then comes the critics. That is hard. Now that the book is published it's out there and I must admit I am a little scared.

I am not good at selling stuff. I don't know how to market books or get publicity so in this area I know I need alot of help. If anyone out there has advice on how I could help to promote my book. Please do give advice I am willing to try my best!

I am currently writing a book called "Azure & Butterscotch" which is a fantasy fiction for younger children (middle school) and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find an illustrator for it. Many of y'all have been published, mine is in the works. I've wanted to write all my life, but only in the past few years did God bless me with a distinguished vocabulary. I thank him everyday.

I hope your book does well. My first book went on the market about a year ago and has done OK. It's entitled, "ORIGINS; The Chronicles of Philos." It is Christian Fiction concerning the creation, the angelic war in Heaven, Adam and Eve and the life they may have lived outside of Eden.

Wow, this is a neat writing forum. I just found Christianforums today and hopped right over to the writing department.
I'm not a published writer but have been an amateur writer and writing enthusiast for a long time. I run a writing contest on the Christian Gamers Alliance website (www(.)cgalliance(.)org) and I hope any of you who are interested will come check it out. Its a great way to do a little creative writing without any pressure (can even post it anonymously). And you'll be sure to get some helpful feedback on it.

As a writer I feel that my general ability to write "good stuff" has increased quite dramatically pretty much since I turned 30...I think this is probably the case with a lot of people. It would be a pity not to do SOMETHING with it other than writing research papers for grad school, so I hope to get some short fiction together soon and get it posted for comments and critique. I'd like to know as well as tony about Christian publishers. Most of the poetry I write these days is now christian - but I have some secular - and some stuff I turned 'christian'. Plus there's some stuff that just isn't christian at all - but it's 'nice'. I don't know - but am I allowed to post non-christian 'nice stuff' here? And although my husband is urging me to 'publish' - I don't think he realises how hard it is to get regular books published, let alone poetry - which people just don't BUY! I don't want to publish for money - there isn't money in poetry anyway - I guess I just want to do it because if there's a message that might get through to someone - it would be nice to help them
