Archeologists have just confirmed the burial place of Jesus according to the gospel of John. The Church of the Holy Sepulchre has always been venerated as the place of Christs crucifixtion and burial. But there was debate over the site. Others had claimed Christs tomb was in the garden tomb north of the Demacus gate.

But archologists have discovered a tomb site just outside the old city walls with an ancient garden of 2000 year old olive, grape and pollen seeds neatly organised into planting beds sounded by low stone rataining walls. Just as John describes.

They also found several tombs cut directly into the bedrock that were newly cut at the time of Christs death which had arnate designs showing they were upper class tombs just as John mentions.

The tombs and garden lay directly under the foundations of Hadrians pagan temple built in 135AD to cover the then venerated hold site where early Christians frequently visited.

We now have pretty strong evidence that the site under the Church of the Holy Sepulchre which has been recognised as the place of Christs crucifixtion and burial. Thats amazing that we can go and visit the place where Christ was crucuified, buried and reappeared after His crucifixtion.
