So, if Palin is the challenger, Americans will have a choice between the incompetent, and the even more incompetent while slightly insane. You'd think a nation of 300 million could do better.

Given that more incompetent while slightly insane is already in office, stepping up to the merely incompetent Palin would be. . . well. . . stepping up. At the moment we have a president who hates his country almost as much as he hates the white elitist half of himself, who's legacy will be: having spent all his political capital on a bill nobody wanted, that isn't even fully implemented yet and is already being disassembled because of Constitutional errors, ready for repeal. There have to be better options out there.

There's always Ben Omenge Amoro or Joe the Plumber or Jeb Bush!
Any of whom would likely be a better choice than either of the two choices presented in the poll. We could score a better president than we have by doing a drive by with a tranquilizer gun on a welfare line & dragging whoever falls down into the oval office.

I would never vote for either of these people. Since Obama is the obvious choice for democrats theres not much I can say about that. However, I would hope republicans would have a little more sense than to choose someone like Sarah Palin. If they don't, I'll be voting for some 3rd party.

I have made this suggestion before, perhaps this time someone will implement it.

One of you should start a thread entitled “I Hate Sarah Palin!!!”, and all of you can post on it whenever you feel the need to show how enlightened you are, and it will always be there just like a security blanket, and anytime you start to sense that the evil bad conservatives are not respecting your feelings you can run to this thread and post on it again. Then you will feel all better, and be able to go look in the mirror and say:

“I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me."

Just trying to help.

Absolutely not, I simply can not stand this woman, she is a complete and total idiot, she can't even answer the simplest of political questions despite Republican grooming and training. She should just go back to Alaska and continue being a hockey mom because I for one, will not and would not trust her with the nuclear codes and I don't know why anyone would take her seriously, what she says seriously, or consider her a legitimate political candidate for any office. I mean, I think we all can put politics aside and agree that she's a brainless twit. I would be very worried if she became a contender for the US presidency. I will be going 'mama-grizzley' bear hunting before I allow her to run this country further into the ground. I won't retreat, I'll reload, ha!

I wouldn't worry -- Palin seems smart enough to keep herself out of politics and embrace her new position as "celebrity."

*Applause* coudln't have said it better myself. I would never vote for a candidate from the two headed monster that is the two party system, with a special exception for Ron Paul considering he's totally hijacking the republican party. His son being the head of the tea party makes me lose hope for Rand Paul aswell : d

Palin. America has recently voted for news in previous presidents- George Bush was the first comedian to be elected president, Obama was the first black man to be president, so Palin could be the first psycopath to be elected president.

What was Sarah Palin CEO of?

I'm not totally impressed by Obama as president, but I do think if he ran against Palin, his victory would be guaranteed, so I would feel OK voting for a third party candidate (Kucinich, maybe?) just to help some third parties get more of a foothold.

If that wasn't an option, I'd probably vote for Obama. Sarah Palin would have to really impress me with her qualifications to get me to consider a vote for her. I do wish that we'd get another chance to elect Hillary Clinton, though.

I didn't realize comedian was a US Navy MOS, or do I have the wrong Bush? Air National guard, they let comedians fly fighters? I thought those were called fighter pilots.

Mulatto . . . Mulatto is the appropriate term for Obama. We have yet to have an African American president. Though he is the first Mulatto president. Shame his hippy dippy mom couldn't find an African American, at least then we'd be half way there.

Psycopath? So, you are a 20 year old Licensed Psychaitrist who is violating Palin's HIPPA rights, or you are. . . . typical of her detractors, full of venom short on substance. I am disappointed she hasn't spent this time building political capital rather than playing with celebrity, but that is a specific complaint about verifiable fact. So much of the time, the left just spews rubbish based on hate. I expect more from a Mod.

Sarah Palin has yet to show me any ability to handle the Presidency. I have yet to any Presidential candidate that is 100% ready for the job, but Sarah Palin seams to be going out of her way to show she is not.

You would think so, but I don't think we've had someone run for President that I actually thought was qualified for decades.
