Would you vote for a Mormon...

Was considering voting for Obama - but I can't in good conscious vote for a baby killer or a man who supports gay marriage.

I could never in good conscious vote for a mormon.

Soooo - if Romney wins the primary - I'm not voting....
I understand your frustration. There hasn't been a President yet who I consider a true Christian in my lifetime, and I'm 62 years old. But Mormonism is a "works-based" belief system. I would feel more comfortable with a good, works-based Mormon selecting new justices for the Supreme Court than what we currently have. Maybe Romney will select someone like Governor Jan Brewer, Rep. Michele Bachmann, Governor John Kasich or even Rep. Paul Ryan as a VP running mate. I believe we would be better off with that than four more years of Obama-Biden. Not voting or voting for a 3rd Party is still supporting the current administration. That's the way I see it.

I'll never vote...
I don't believe Jesus would have voted; He was busy taking care of people.

you'll never walk on water either, or turn water into wine, but Jesus did...I'll reluctantly render a vote unto Ceaser...

I care about how God sees it.

How does God see it? I am curious...

Would God support abortion? Would God support homosexuality? Of what importance would the stances on moral issues of a political party be to God? I know you know the answers, but still, we all need reminders...

Voting Romney especially as a Christian would be similar to dealing with a moral dilemma (I don't want to any more than the next Christian), but we still should vote. So many men and women have died to protect freedom including the freedom to vote. If we don't vote and loose the right to (as is the case in too many other countries), we have only ourselves to blame. Please take my post as "tough love" brother.

I have never voted Democratic... However two people I cannot vote for...

Newt Gingrich - A terrific adulterer
Mitt Romney - A terrific Mormon...

I would vote a dead dog in office before I would vote for any of the two mentioned names.

that's mean...

I am a mean, nasty, dirty, wretched sinner, God has sovereignly, mercifully and graciously saved. The only good in me is the Spirit of God. I also know who the accuser of the brethren is...

King David was worse than an adulterer...

For starters - I put my life on the line for this country every time I go to work. Have been doing so for the past 22 years - don't plan to stop until they tell me or I actually do die. So don't drop a guilt trip on me about defending the freedoms of America.

I have voted in every election since I was old enough to vote - federal and state. If I choose not to vote in the presidential election one time because of conscious, it doesn't mean I'm going to stop voting in the others. Take note of that Faith.man.

Playing the devil's advocate here (oh no! <gasp> did I really say that??? ) !!!..... but weren't similar arguments built against President Kennedy because of his RCC faith? No, he wasn't the best President...but God was able to use him in many ways for the benefit of the USA.

I believe that it really doesn't matter if you are democrat, republican, independent, or libertarian....as long as you pray and vote the way God would have you vote. However, I cannot see God asking us to vote for a socialistic, muslim raised, person who has highjacked the democratic party... and in that sense those who feel "anybody but Obama" would be a God-thing, yes?

My sincere apologies, thank you for all your service.

Unfortunately, I cannot say I've voted in every election since I've been old enough to vote. I do believe strongly in exercising the right though, and evidently you do as well. Sorry brother, I was thinking more about other people who might be reading. I do hope you'll vote, to keep that perfect record going.

Yes, a Mormon looks good compared to what we have now. But Romney is not my first choice.

Good one! I don't like the hand we have been dealt as far as the Republican candidates we have but I held my nose and voted for the person I think has the background to get the economy moving and bring unemployment down. There's a lot of misery going on with very fine citizens losing their homes, I'll bet everyone here knows someone that is in severe financial difficulty, I know I do.

From reading this thread I see great Christian folks that I respect saying they won't vote, in some instances because of conscience, my conscience won't allow me to not vote, that is just giving the Obama regime another four years to finish turning the country into a European socialist state where massive amounts of people are on the Federal Government teat.

Maybe, just maybe the Republican nominee will do what they say they will, at least try to work with congress to reduce spending, open up areas to tap into domestic energy resources, get rid of unnecessary government regulations that are stifling economic growth, reduce taxes and STOP apologizing to the rest of the world for the greatness that is the U.S.A.

I know Obama won't change his ideology, that's a given.

If you have voted in every election, then you must have voted for some people you wished you could have your vote back. I know, I have; but I haven't always been a Christian either. I'm willing to vote for Romney, if it comes down to him, since he and Mormons in general are pro-Life. That one issue alone would be enough. Mormons, as far as I know, are not actively trying to remake this country into some socialist or sharia ruled country.

Behe's Boy - A very sincere thank you for whatever service you have in the past, are doing in the present and will do in the future for protecting the freedoms we enjoy in this country. May God bless and watch over you and your family in all you do.

The most transparent administration ever! Get ready for him to tack to the center during this election year and give lip service to what most folks want to hear in order to be reelected, if you think it can't get any worse just wait for the last four years from this guy as a lame duck President.
