  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello, I'm a 21 year old female from Texas. I'd really like a penpal, someone who shares my faith that I can talk to. I have fairly varied interests, and I like hearing the different things others do even if I don't know much about it (it's fun to learn lol).

I'm kind of at a rut in my life, don't know what I should be doing (or have the ability to do). So maybe a penpal who's a bit further in life who could give me tips on how to put my foot forward?

Also, I have never really read my bible. I'm trying to start doing a daily/weekly bible reading. If someone could just be my accountability partner and ask "did you do it this week?" that would be great! I think promising that to someone and them checking up on me would give me the extra boost to actually get it done and not just go "eh I'll do it later" ^_^'

But really just having a friend to talk to that shares my faith would be nice. I only have ever had one close friend in real life, and she's moved so we can't visit as much, and is busy with her marriage and baby. So just someone to chat with would be greatly appreciated. I get very lonely....

I feel selfish asking for all this lol, but of course if there's anything I can do for any of you, I will do my best to be that for you too!

Hello Natalie!

I would love to be your penpal - and to help you grow as a Christian as well! It is very ironic, I am in Texas myself and we are very close in age! I find that really exciting (it always is when you find out someone lives in the same state as you!) Feel free to shoot me a P.M., I would be happy to chat with you and befriend you :)

I'll put a toe in the water!

I am not a Texan but so many of my friends are that I'd probably feel right at home.

Hi

I would love to be an accountability partner. I was paralyzed from the neck down and jesus Christ healed me. You may want to do what I do - I have bible cds and before I go to sleep pop one in and right after I wake up. And during the time(sometimes weeks) this cd is repeated and I read the same chapters of the bible during this time. This becomes more real to me. What made you turn to Christ? I am 65, a lady and live in Canada. God bless keep in touch.
