When I die and go up to meet Jesus, I would think the first thing I would do is be filled with immense joy and, if I didn't pass out, would run up to Jesus Christ and kiss Him and give Him the biggest hug!!!!!!! Like, I have been alive for (idk 72 yrs?) and woud have waited a long time for it! Anyways, my family and have always kissed each other. I still kiss my mom and dad before I go to sleep and in the mornings and I'm 16. It just has always been that way. Not sexual, just affectionate. I don't think twice about it anymore, just another way of saying I love you to them. So, my question. If I ran up and gave Jesus and kiss and hugged Him do you think He would be like "This girl's crazy!" Probably not... lol but do you think He wouldn't be offended or upset? I just love Him so much, to me, it would be weird to not kiss Him! Like, the first thing I'd do when I meet my parents up in Heaven is kiss them too! So, what do you think? Will it be okay? Or should I ask Him first? Thanks! And God bless you!

Jesus is more concerned about why we do something more than about what we do. If the heart is in the right place and inline with the Spirit Jesus will openly accept us and our affection.

compare the two scriptures:

Luke 22:47-48
While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd came, and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was preceding them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him. But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”

Luke 7:38-39,44-46
standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet He would know who and what sort of person this woman is who is touching Him, that she is a sinner.” ... Turning toward the woman, He said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has wet My feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave Me no kiss; but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss My feet. You did not anoint My head with oil, but she anointed My feet with perfume.

Jesus knows our heart and as the above examples revel he rejects cold mechanical acts that have wrong intent and welcomes warm sincere affections of our heart but not only welcomes them but defends them as well (even if it is as weird as kissing his feet and washing them with our tears and hair).

Continue to love Jesus and desire to show him the kind of affection that reflects your desire to serve him.

A man should not want to kiss Jesus because it would be like how Judas Iscariot betrayed Him. Shake the Lord's hand? No!

How about a big hug for your Saviour? :D

Honestly, I think the first thing you're going to do is stand there stunned by Glory lol. I don't even think I will be able to think about anything else other than taking in pure Beauty. We'll just have to wait and see.

For the longest time, I wondered how I would react to seeing Jesus. I think you nailed it. I'd just stand there totally awestruck at his glory. You know, how one looks when someone smacks him in the face and says "Snap out of it!" That would be me! (The guy being smacked!)

Of course we all know Jesus wouldn't smack me and say Snap out of it...rather I like to think he'd walk up to me, give me a big hug and say something to the effect of "Welcome Home!"

I think the lyrics to "I Can Only Imagine" put it the best I've seen:
(Chorus)
Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine ...

I don't care if I become all tongue-tied and stutter-mouthed, just get me there soon, Jesus!

Heres Kiss the Son...

Psalm 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way

But it does say...

1Thes 5:26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

Jesus isnt ashamed to call them brethren...

Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Even dads kiss their sons:thumbsup:

Gen 27:26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.

When I meet Jesus I will probably be so humbled and ashamed of my life that I would lay down before Jesus and not even look up at him, just bown down to him as low as I could get. Revering him. He would probably say something like "get up my child" and I would and he would offer me a hug and I would hug the daylights out of him! LOL :D I do think of "I can only imagine" the song. It hits home every time I hear it. It is so powerful to me. I LOVE that song. I almost cry every time I hear it.

The kissing the Bible refers to (as in the case of Judas) is NOT the romantic kiss you think it is. The practice of men "kissing" men is still going on in mid-eastern countries today. It is done by "kissing" first on one cheek then the other.
