Would Anyone Consider Rascall Flatts to be a Christian Singer?

I truly think his music would be considered christian like, Ive always been a big fan of him (on the radio at least and albums)he stinks live, but anyways, most of my youth group loves "God Bless The Broken Roads", which is an awesome song in my opinion..most of his songs arent bad songs.. most of them hit in the record book.. His songs are awesome.. and ive always wondered of anyone else would consider him a Christian Country singer...Whats your opinion?

I can't recall the name of the song right now, but... one of their videos and songs won lots and lots of awards a couple years ago, and the video was full of women in bikinis, showing off their bodies. I like some of their music, but music videos often change my opinion of the singer/group.

No, if you mean Christian by way of the music grouping genre per se. I would say he is Country Pop. Keith Urban had a God song, too, even more so, but it was not on the Christian station I listen to. Maybe there are Country Christian stations? Sometimes my Christian station plays country that is 'approved' but I forget what night it is. I caught it only once. They do a similar thing with the harder Christian rock.

The only one that comes to mind off the top of my head that could possibly match your description is "I Melt."

yes I would consider them Christian .You can be a christian and still have your music played on the non christian stations, from what I hear they are on those stations is because their music gets played more often

I love the Rascall Flatts they have some very good songs but don't forget their one song called "I Melt" in the first phrase of the song it makes anything Christianly about them go away...

In the church and Christian family that I have grown up in I have always been taught that anything that portrays sex or emplies sex is wrong and in that one verse that makes my opinion about them being Christian singers a negative

the song "I melt" is the song that shows one of the singers bare butts and also some other indesent stuff... IMO I would not consider their music christian, although I also think theres nothing wrong with listening to their music, but its more upbeat country or urban country than anything..

I mind it mindboggling that CMT approved of that video, especially considering the fact that Shania Twain's "What Made You Say That" video was nearly rejected because of a bare midriff.

i wouldn't really consider them to be christian country either!.. their video i melt is hardly something a christian singer should do or anyone for that matter.. they be christians for all i know..but just doing one song referring to God i agree doesn't make you a christian singer..so i must say that in my opinion they are country and i agree that there prolly country pop..

Two out of the three singers in the group are married. I find nothing wrong with this considering that fact. I hope and pray my future husband "silently prepares to love on me" at some point

However, I do not consider them a Christian group. I think they are extremely talented and I believe they may profess Christ (one of the singers {Jay East -to West DID} sing in a Christian group at one time), BUT that does not make them a Christian group or a group that embodies Christian values. One of them, Joe Don, is engaged to a PLAYBOY bunny (he's also the one who bared his bottom in the "I Melt" video).

Here are some lyrics:

Seems to be talking about promiscuity and the "first time".

Again, seems to be talking of promiscuity or maybe they were married and he was going to leave her....'cept she left him....doesn't sound Christ-like to me.

Anyway, that's enough for me to label them a "non-Christian" group. I do like some of their songs, and there's no denying their incredible talent, but as for being labeled a Christian group, no way.

I believe porn is a sin. Therefore, posing for it would be a sin, and marrying someone who posed for it would be a sin.

I think I heard something about that on CMT. I could care less, but the media often r4eport information that viewers are not interested in.

Posing for playboy is undoubtedly a sin. But I do not think that marrying someone who poses for playboy to be a sin. Remember, we are all sinners. If I ever get married, is my future wife going to be comitting a sin by marrying me?

We ARE all sinners. And no, you're wife wouldn't be committing a sin by marrying you. HOWEVER, I got the impression she wasn't planning to give up her career anytime soon. Once we recognize a sin, we're called to REPENT! If she continues to live in that sin, then yes, marrying her IS a sin.

I like them, but i wouldn't say they are christians. Not a christian band anyway.The one music video was inapropriate. they have very good songs to but that doesn't make them christian just because they sing good music.
