Anger? Explain.Assuming that the "amazing healings" really took place. They don't happen for everybody. And this sounds like it is more motivated by anger than by reason.
People that are [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed off sometimes push their existing views to irrational extremes. Being as this comment is somewhat irrational, this could be what you're doing.Anger? Explain.
While those two may be factors, it's really a matter of trust. People lie or are just overestimating how much they have healed. They could be healed on the surface, but broken enough on the inside that they would be bad spouses. If a Woman has been healed and turned her life around, I think, judging by responses in this thread, it would be a huge task to find a man secure enough in himself and secure enough in Gods power to heal.
It's rather simple logic, really. In the Bible, when a blind man was healed, he could see and this didn't wear off. People could clearly see the evidence of these miracles. You, I assume, believe the healings and other miracles in the bible. You didn't witness them, you don't know the authors personally, yet you would question whether an ex prostitutes healings are real.
How do you personally, yes you, decipher a real healing, whether written or otherwise?
Amen!Someone's past is just that - their PAST.
If God can forgive them - how dare we NOT.
I say YES and I can say it with absolute certainty.
I dated someone before that had a horrific past.
I don't see how that would be unreasonable. In these days of fake, temporary healings and pseudo-charismatic charlatans, I think that would be a good idea that would bring God glory. People doubt miracles, and medical reports could lay these doubts to rest.Herin lies the problem.
You are talking about a man in the bible who was healed of blindness and it was observed, so it was a healing you could see.
The problem here is, You, yes you, did not witness the healing. You trust that what is written in the bible is true. You did not see the healing, you didn't witness the healing being recorded by someone who witnessed it, so it was not observed by you.
Your post is pointless. I also believe you doubt the power of healing, and propose that we should doubt healings unless they can be witnessed.
What about the healing of internal organs? You want medical reports before you would believe it?
To many people, the things a person has done in the past are important.

BTW, Gardener, where did you get that list?? lol
ORThe list basically goes on.
- An ex paedophile who raped his own toddler daughter and put pictures of it up on the internet for sale (now repented, washed clean and forgiven by God)
- A reformed rapist who mutilated his victims (now a pastor)
- A former drunk and druggie who stole money from his own children to feed his addictions and is now widowed because his drinking caused his wife to commit suicide, but now he has repented and is looking for a new wife
- Or someone who used to catch and kill kittens, cats, dogs and puppies for fun, but has now seen the error of their ways and walks closely with the Holy Spirit
- A born again murderer who shot at point blank his ex-girlfriend when she refused to have an abortion so he would not have to pay child support.
- A small-time petty thief who mostly stole sweets and biscuits from shops but has now repented
- A woman who disguised her email address so she could bypass a dating websites filtering process and thereby get something for nothing, when she is not a paid member (sin is sin, eh?)
- A former joyrider who never actually damaged any of the cars stolen but obviously displaced them, and is now a born again Christian who works as an usher in the church.
- An ex graffiti 'artist' whose paintings caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to historical buildings, although she is now a very commited Christian who leads Sunday Bible Studies.
- An office worker who used to pinch paperclips, pens, some printer paper and even an old calculator, but has now repented of all his sins. (sin is sin, right?
) - A rampant arsonist whose fires caused millions of dollars both in loss of business and increased insurance premiums, but is now a devout Christian looking for the woman of his dreams
- A former porn star who used to perform acts of bestiality with dogs and horses, but found the Lord and is now a hardworking Christian desperate to find the man of her dreams who is willing to accept her background, which she can't hide cus her porn videos continue to be circulated on the internet.
- A reformed born again former drug dealer
- A wrinkly old former perv (now born again) who used to wear a trench coat and flash his naked bits at the shy young women at the local convent.
- A young lady under the age of 21 who (when in America) continues to drink alcohol and gives a non-chalant response when confronted about her sin, yet insists that she is a Christian.
- (True story) A pastor of a huge, huge church who (despite being married at that time) lured women as young as 18 to engage in sex and other sex acts with him (some of them were blackmailed by him and some were given expensive gifts like cars to 'silence' them) and then when caught and sentenced to prison, comes clean (after denying his actions forever) and seems to geniunely repent. Comes out of prison and starts up a brand new church, with him as the pastor, of course
My point?
What I am saying is that Iseekthetruth has a valid point and people should consider it and not try to make him feel that he is somehow 'flawed' or 'in the wrong' for holding his views or preferences.
Hmmmm.....so are you playing 'favourites' here? Sin is sin...and if God has forgiven them and washed them clean, shouldn't they all be treated the same way and accepted as future spouses?Unfortunately, sexual offenders are the the worst recidivists. Prostitutes who go straight is not so bad, but all other sex offenders are the most difficult to heal. Interestingly, murder is the least likely to be repeated.
yes, LOVE YOUR NIEGHBOR. There are no prerequisites to that commandment. Jesus says it is just as important as LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND ALL YOUR MIGHT.Hmmmm.....so are you playing 'favourites' here? Sin is sin...and if God has forgiven them and washed them clean, shouldn't they all be treated the same way and accepted as future spouses?
Just considering your other post where you said you like (?love) prostitutes.
. Prostitutes who leave the business, and it is a business, and get off drugs, then get married are the least as far as recidivism.
Your right, a woman does not care about herself or her life when they step into this occupation, it is a place of EXTREME spiritual oppression. Sadly, I dont think you realize it until your already into it. Some people look for personal fufillment in the weirdest places.Got any stats to back these up?
Thank you.

PS: In my view, prostitution is not a legitimate 'business' but a sign of severe spiritual oppression (amongst other things).

You made the claim, so it's only fair you do the web research to find the stats to back it up.I did years ago but dont now. I am sure its easy enough to look up on the internet. if you find anything any different, please let me know.
Agreed. It's also a matter of time, too.Twisted Sketch is right, there will be scars and emmotional baggage. BUT I do believe God is a God of Restoration, he is also called Jehovah-Rapha, the God that healeth thee, so I think that God can make anybody a Godly person, they just have to have the right heart.

I dont have to backanything up because you can look it up on the internet just as well as I canYou made the claim, so it's only fair you do the web research to find the stats to back it up.
I think it would benefit other people reading this thread as well.
Thank you.
