One of my most favorite villains is Sephiroth from a playstation game called Final Fantasy 7. He was cool, powerful, and basically a good-guy gone mad. When this guy flips his lid, you don't want to be anywhere near him. With powerful magic & a sword as long as he stood (or longer), he's definitely at the top of my list.

Yeah, the British soldier (forgot the chap's name) from The Patriot was the sort of fellow you could learn to hate real quick.

There were some English villains from Braveheart who really got me steaming, too: the guy who tried to rape Murron, the guy who cut her throat, and of course, King Longshanks for causing all this trouble (Prima Noctas, "first night," in itself was enough to get my blood boiling).

Robin William's character from Insomnia would rank high on my list. He was just so calm, relaxed, methodical, yet so... evil.

Also, one of the main characters from In the Company of Men would also be up there. He's a real -insert expletive of choice here-, but in a completely believable fashion.
