Worried about my DS

Elijah is teething I believe and along with it he has a runny nose, fever, he's fussy, and diarrhea. Those are typical for him but this time around he won't eat and simply refuses to drink anything at all. I wasn't worried until it's day 2 and he's hardly had anything to eat and just refuses to drink. Any ideas how I can get him to drink something or have something to eat that won't be to harsh on his tummy?

When my boys refused to drink, I would give them water or pedialite from a dropper. Even if you give them just a dropper full every 20 minutes or so, they will not dehydrate.
Has he been to the doctor yet? maybe he has something else going on, like an ear infection?

I'd definitely call his pediatrician and see what she says. But yeah, you really have to get some fluid into him. Popsicles are a great way to do this... how about jello? Try to make it fun too... maybe use a cookie cutter to make funny shapes of something he'd like. Praying for him and you.

I had to run out to pick up OS from school.
I'm not one to force my child to eat/drink. We've done that in the past and regret it soon after. Usually they stop eating/drinking right before a stomach bug
Is his mouth still wet/moist?
Is he urinating?

Since you know he's teething, you can try Teething Tablets and see if that makes him comfortable enough to eat/drink some more....

Does he have a favorite food or drink? Make that available to him. I also agree with popcicles or even sherbert.

Since you know he isn't feeling well it is a good day to spoil him, with anything he will eat or drink.

Try the pedialite popsicles, maybe he will take those. Are you still nursing? is he taking mommy milk at all or refusing that also? When my daughter teeths the ONLY thing i can get her to do is nurse, she won't eat or drink, my son was pretty much the same way. i would bring him to the doctor..maybe he is getting a bug of some kind also. I am praying for him to drink something...i would hate to see him dehydrate.

Thanks for the advice so far! We got him to eat a little and drink from a cup with a straw a little yesterday afternoon and evening but he refused anything else. The only thing he wouldn't refuse last night was nursing. So we've done that last night and this morning. He ate a little oatmeal this morning and I'm about to try something to drink, we also got popsicles so we'll try that after lunch. Thanks again!

oh good..as long as he is nursing..dont even worry about whether he will take other food or drink...the nursing gives him all the food and drink and nutrition and he won't dehydrate

Yes, he'll be completely fine if he's still nursing. That's really great news.
