• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'd say, good answer. Given faith, works will result as the believer grows in a life of grace.

I wouldn't go so far as to say God looks at faith as if it's a work. I think Romans 4:1-5 says God changes the way He deals with people, and it's not based on acknowledgement of works, or even faith as a work. It's a different "economy" than work for wages -- it's unmerited favor toward God's people.

I do not try to interpret another man's thoughts put down on paper.

That is beyond my horizon. So even if you were right about their thoughts. I would not know it. How do you know you are right?

I don't think it is appropriate to say words in the Bible is man's thoughts put down on paper. Let us ask the help from God, we will be able to understand.

Matthew 7:8
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

I do not care what you think is appropiate or not appropiate. Did you ever think about that?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Here you are again asking questions. If you do not believe the Holy Bible is the word of God given to man by inspiration then you do not truly believe in God.

Seek the answers to your questions from God and maybe you will become a true believer.

I am sorry and I should have said I believe it is not appropiate. Why don't you post what your opinion about this question is? Work and faith, what do you think of them?
