Words That You Can't Stand

So...this is kind of random. I was checking Facebook, and I noticed that someone chose to use the word "chillaxin". That word is like nails on a chalkboard to me. It makes me want to punch people, lol.

What are some words that you really just can't stand?

Why do these words climb all over me? Dunno. I'm weird.

There are certain words that I can't type because of the word filter that really get my goat whenever someone says them. It's not even to do with being offended, I just don't like the words.

Rad? Do people even say that anymore? I haven't heard that since New Kids on the Block were actually new. Back when BOSS jeans were 'bad' and seeing Calvin Klein underwear models on billboards was considered salacious.

I also cannot stand when people get their hair "did" or any other thing "did". Irritates me.

Have we really reduced the Eternal, Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent One into such an offhanded and nebulous phrase? Are we so mentally and spiritually decrepit that this is the only way we can express the idea that God was working in a situation?

It's used by so many preachers today. (ie. "Our church needs to be relevant to today's culture.")

-"kbai" "knthnxbai" "kthnx" are all extremely grating and sound often very flippant and arrogant. Did you hear me, Karee?

-"gotta give it up to God" sometimes it's an alright expression, but it's wayyyyy overused. when you have things that you can or should do but instead you're waiting on God to make a huge appearance and try to make everything better, you're putting an excessive burden on Him for things that are definitely within your control.

-"the Bible has all the answers to your problems" NO, it doesn't. The important answers, yes. But science solves a lot of the physical problems, and sometimes with mental issues therapy can be much more effective than trying to be inspired by a verse but then forgetting it when it's actually time to start your day.


That's all I got right now.

Don't mind me, I'm just chillaxin'. After I get paid next week I'll probably go get my hair did, then it will be cool beans!! I need to find a rad haircut though, one that is relevant to today.
But really, I just need to stop thinking about it and give it up to God. I'm sure that I'll do much better in the end, especially after reading my Bible. After all, the bible has all the answers to your problems!

"of necessity". Why not say "necessarily"? Or more often then not, leave it out because it's completely not of necessity.
