With pro-abortion measures now on ballots in nine states, a prominent pro-life activist, appearing on EWTN's "Pro-Life Weekly" called on pro-life supporters to “be engaged.”

Abortion is currently on the ballot in Montana, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, South Dakota, Missouri, New York, Maryland, Florida, and potentially Nebraska, where a measure is pending.

When asked on Thursday if it’s likely for these measures to be passed, Kelsey Pritchard, the director of state public affairs at Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, told EWTN News President and COO Montse Alvarado that “it all depends upon what happens between now and election day in those states.”

In my experience prolifers don’t like getting involved in anything if it costs them money and that doesn’t involve telling invectives at people.

actually working in an election?

good luck
I humbly disagree. There are pregnancy centers and other resources available for women and children. That’s not my experience at all.

Hi Riles:

You're allowed.

My experience?

You can't get a pro-life speaker to show up to give testimony in favor of a bill to provide money for pre-natal care, post partum depression, a school funding bill, health care of any kind, a tax credit for children.

They wouldn't even show up to back free breakfast and lunch in schools.

Oh, they have their reasons, I've heard them all.

But -

They ALL show up if they get to hold signs that shame people and they get to yell about babies.

And those pregnancy centers ?

Six months of partial support. That's what a new mother gets in my state.

After that it's "you need to start figuring out how to support your children on your own. Take some personal responsibility"

That's my experience.

I gave up on the pro-life movement as a social resource and long, long time ago.

The anti-abortion movement does better without them in the way.

BTW - YOU look good in the Oktoberfest hat. I do not.

I mean, there are hypocrites not both sides. I can’t say I’m surprised. Remember Jesus’s warning in Matthew 23?
