If you do not believe that animals have souls and do not believe that they will be with us in heaven then do not participate in this thread. This is not a debate over whether animals have souls, do not turn it in to that.

For those of us who do believe that our pets will be with us on heaven, will we be able to communicate with each other? To an extent we do that here on Earth—when one of my kitties rubs up against my leg or licks my arm he or she is telling me that I’m loved. When I was ill over the summer my little cat carried her favorite toy mouse into my bed and laid it by my face—I’m sure that she thought that it would make me feel better. But we can not communicate directly. I am speaking of whether we will understand the specific meaning of what our pets are thinking or “saying,” and will they understand specifically what we are thinking or saying.

Again, do not attempt to turn this into a debate over whether animals have souls or I will see to it that the thread is closed.

God gave Adam complete authority over the natural world. I would be surprised if we were less able to communicate than Adam could. He must have been able to communicate to assert authority. I hope so. I'll finally know what my feline actually wants - assuming that she knows herself. A while ago, I was quite ill, bedridden, for 3 days. The cat hardly left me for the whole time.

That’s how my kitties were with me before I went into the hospital to have my leg amputated back in August. They stayed with me.

I don't know of course, but I hope so.I think my dog and I are far above average at understanding one another now,but we've been bff's for 13 years.
I think maybe, and of course it's just my own hope...that even if they don't go to heaven in the same regard as we do,we will be allowed to have them just because we love them.

I think animals have souls, but I don't think they have immortal souls like we do ;)

But that aside!

It's an interesting question because I think it would actually require God to enhance the brain power and intellectual level of pets. All the movies we see with animals talking as if they actually possess the same intellectual level of humans is obviously fiction. Animals are not humans and do not possess the same level of thought as we do.

I'm not saying they are devoid of emotional intelligence, I'm just saying it's certainly not on the level that we entertain it to be in our minds.

Also, if our pets follow us to heaven, does that mean that some of us are going to be stuck with like 6 dogs, 10 cats, 10 gerbils, 4 bunnies, 100 fish, 2 hamsters, and a ferret? That no longer sounds like heaven to me....

i have no doubt whatsoever that it will be so. if the trees can "clap their hands" in praise of their Creator, why wouldn't the communication between ALL of God's creatures be even moreso than it is now? The fall of man is what tore asunder all of God's creation, including ALL of His creatures, and what brought forth death and the curse for man and ALL of His creatures.

ALL will be RESTORED. As there was creatures BEFORE the fall, so will there be creatures after ALL is restored. There is a REASON we have such an affinity for our pets and all of God's creatures, and that is because God, our Creator does, and always has.

ALL tears will be wiped away by our Creator, our Father when we see Him face to face, and with the wiping away of those tears, ALL sorrow and pain will fade away and be gone as well. (((hug)))

Just to be clear, I was suggesting that animals would have the ability to discuss the Einstein theory with us in heaven or to speak the Queen’s English, just that we could understand each other’s thoughts.

Also, if our pets follow us to heaven, does that mean that some of us are going to be stuck with like 6 dogs, 10 cats, 10 gerbils, 4 bunnies, 100 fish, 2 hamsters, and a ferret? That no longer sounds like heaven to me....

I know people who have more dogs and cats than that here, where they do no have eternity to enjoy their pets.

They did before the fall. There was no death, no decay, no curse, no sin. It was intended to be a "forever" state of being for all of God's creatures.

I watched his story a few days ago and it was so anointed I just knew in my heart it’s real because unlike many other nde’s he kept the focus on Jesus. It was watched due to a need to know because my son recently went home to Jesus and Deans video made me hopeful and excited to see my son and grandson and also my beloved pets. I believe that God loves his creation and is an animal lover he’ll give us a beautiful understanding of them and I can’t wait.
