Didn't YHWH define what we can eat?
Why not? Jesus declared all foods clean!
God did not create pigs to be received with thanksgiving“BUT THE [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach, Through the hypocrisy and pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared (cauterized), Who forbid people to marry and [teach them] to abstain from [certain kinds of] foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and have [an increasingly clear] knowledge of the truth. For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be thrown away or refused if it is received with thanksgiving. For it is hallowed and consecrated by the Word of God and by prayer.” 1 Timothy 4:1–5 (AMP)
I don't recall YHWH declaring that pork is food.
The Pharisees thought that eating with unwashed hands(the way they taught should be washed) defiled a person... they were concerned that dirt defiled people...They address what goes into a man's insides.
God did not create pigs to be received with thanksgiving
Pigs were not sanctified and set apart by the word of God
when Paul wrote this, the “word of God” was the first 5 books of the Bible
Leviticus 11 lists which animals were sanctified by God, and pigs were not one of them.
Those which believe and know the truth = those who believe and know what the Law of Moses says... the law is the truth
Psalm 119:42
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Food in the context of the Bible is stuff that is permitted by God to eat.Why not? Jesus declared all foods clean!
And prior to the Mosaic Law, all people could eat all things except blood!
Law put in restrictions of what to eat or not eat for Israel only.
The Pharisees thought that eating with unwashed hands(the way they taught should be washed) defiled a person... they were concerned that dirt defiled people...
Unclean animals were not part of the discussion... it was about eating with dirty hands
If you don’t listen to the schoolmaster, how in the world are you gonna listen to Christ? And you forget that the Mosaic Law was only for Israel of the OT. As Paul wrote in Galatians, now that faith is come we are no longer under the law!
And the law was just a schoolmaster! So go enjoy an egg Mc Muffin, I promise you, go will not get mad!
Food in the context of the Bible is stuff that is permitted by God to eat.
for example, Leviticus 11 lists the clean and unclean animals
cows, goats and sheeps fall under the category of “food”
pigs, shrimp, cats and dogs do not.
it is redundant to say “Jesus declared all foods clean”, because “food” according to the Bible only includes clean animals... pigs are not, and were never, and will never be “food”.
Bewides, the phrase “Jesus declared all foods clean” was added by the biased translators. Read the KJV - it’s not in there
And you forget that the Mosaic Law was only for Israel of the OT. As Paul wrote in Galatians, now that faith is come we are no longer under the law!
And the law was just a schoolmaster!
That would be incorrect.
14 And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
17 And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.
18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Jesus declared that anything eaten is OK! Except the prohibition that God gasve to all mankind through Noah-eating blood! That restriction has not been revoked yet.
Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
eating unclean animals makes a person unclean.Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
For I am Yahweh your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness
For some reason, you are quoting the end of a discussion, without including the beginning, which reveals the context of the discussion. So proved the phrase jesus declared all foods clean is a false addition!
And you keep ignoring the fact that the Levitical laws were only for Israel until Jesus came! And even then the food prohibitons were pu there to maker Israel a different people. Not because some animals are bad ina nd of themselves.
RE-read Mark again:
15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.
16 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Defile is to make unclean! So nothing a person eats can make him unclean!

Defile is to make unclean! So nothing a person eats can make him unclean!
Not biblically.Eels, bugs, worms flies pigs are all foods.
Context. He declared everything considered Food to be clean; whether it was rabbinically blessed or the eater had done the proper rituals or not.Why not? Jesus declared all foods clean!
I voted no because I believe we will not need food. The glory of God will be our light and living waters will be our food through Jesus Christ of Nazareth.(CLV) Isa 66:15
For behold, Yahweh, iwith fire shall He come, And His chariots like a sweeping whirlwind, To bring back His anger with fury, And His rebuke with blazes of fire.
(CLV) Isa 66:16
For with fire Yahweh shall come to judge, And with His sword upon all flesh; And Yahweh's slain will be multitudinous.
(CLV) Isa 66:17
Those who sanctify themselves And who cleansed themselves for the gardens, going after one in their midst, Eating the flesh of swine and the abominable thing and the rodent, They shall be swept up together, averring is Yahweh;
Note: Poll refers to pork bacon.
