Why do we dread that which we need
Do sheep really know the best place to feed
Branches bear fruit when connected to the vine
How often our wedding feasts run out of wine
We distance ourselves from the woman at the well
Our ears are tuned to the sound of chapel bell
Storms at sea bring about great terror
Why doesn't God understand His error
So much we can do when the sun is shining
Rainy days are reserved for whining and dining
Into every life some rain must fall
Into every life there comes a call
Raindrops cause hidden seeds to grow
Teardrops are used to cleanse the soul
Breaking the surface bathing in light
Watching them grow is a wondrous sight
Drinking in adversity they begin to bloom
Their radiant colors wash away gloom
Wildflowers grow because of rain and sun
Christians grow when self is undone
