Does anyone know if you were divorced and then your spouse died if you are then consider widowed or if still have to answer everything as divorced? No one is seeking funds as a widowed status, it is just that legally can the answer now be widow since the spouse is deceased.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Widowed or divorce status?

I am certainly hoping someone with a legal opinion and some knowledge will post because whilie it could be thought that a person should assume divorced status then you have other questions that arise out of that as well. A person who has waited many years for the spouse to come to their senses should be able to assume the title of widow as it is in God's eyes and hopefully USA law sees it that way.

You are widowed when your existing spouse dies. Any recognition of you following a partner's death after a divorce relies on the provsions of any will.

The 'divorce' dissolved the marrage leaveing you 'divorced' Not single but unfortantly 'divorced'. In that same spirt of the law not widowed, just as you are not single. Sorry I am not for Leagalism.
