I saw the cast (minus Glinda cuz she was ill) on the David Letterman Show back in November performing "Defying Gravity".

I had to order the soundtrack, which came out in mid-December.

I also saw the cast (with Glinda) perform "One Short Day on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Idina Menzel (Elphaba) has a fantastic voice!

Wow yes she does (Idina Menzel that is), I love the soundtrack, and I'm really trying to convince my parents to let us go see the show when we go to NYC in June. We're already seeing Little Shop of Horrors and Hairspray, but I think we can squeeze one more show in

I read the book a few months back and heard about the musical. WOW what an awesome CD! I live way out in Minnesota, but would love to see the show! Idina Menzel has an AWESOME! voice, and Kristin Chenoweth does a great job playing Glinda.
I think the story line is different from the book, it's more of a positive point of view with the Broadway play about friendship and finding one's self. It's a huge grosser for Broadway right now making a million a week...it's right behind the producers.
Ican't wait till the tony awards are announced. I would like to see wicked sweep it clean!

Wicked is amazing, ive been listening to the soundtrack for the past two weeks...Idina Menzel is amazing, as is Kristen Chenoweth, Kristen Chenoweth had her own TV show for a little bit, i just realized that....my school had a trip-type-thing to New York last week, i didnt go, and after they got back my friends were telling me about it and said they saw Wicked, i was sooo upset, but ah well, there'll be other chances...i hope...

yes, my friends did see Wicked performed by the original broadway cast, which they continiue to remind me of every day lol. but actually, Kristen Chenoweth had hurt her neck a few days before they went to see it, so she had a neck brace. and they were also in the very top row of the theatre, so i console myself by saying that they didnt really get to see much. and belive me, i have been begging my parents to take me to see it, and hopefully theyll get so fed up with my begging theyll take me just so ill stop. we can only hope!

lol trust me, ive had enough experiences with not being able to see, that i basically bring binocs everywhere, especially since its in the Gershwin Theatre. and yes, the album is brilliant, ive been listening to it non-stop for the last 2 weeks, im actually listening to it right now.....when you're dancinggg *pause* through liiiiiiiiiiiiiifeeeeeeeee
