Why would God allow my in-laws to roll their vehicle over on their way to church Easter Sunday?
First off, I wish to express my sorrow over what happened. It is very sad.

But to answer your question, I would have to say, as anyone should say, that I don't know.

Why would God allow my foster daughter to die right before Christmas? I don't know. What I do know is the good that has come from it. I do know that God has received glory because of it.

It is tough being on this side of things. We cannot see the whole picture because God doesn't give us this information. Our job is to trust Him in all things, and to trust that all things will work together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

Does this mean that we shouldn't be sad, or mourn or question God? No. We did all those things when my daughter died. But although we can question God, we should never curse Him.

Just take it up with Him in prayer. Talk to those in leadership at your church. And despite frustrations and questions, never forget that He is God, and He is good.

When the day came for the heavenly beings F2 to appear before the Lord, Satan F3 was there among them. R1 7 The Lord asked him, "What have you been doing?"
Satan answered, "I have been walking here and there, roaming around the earth." 8 "Did you notice my servant Job?" the Lord asked. "There is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He worships me and is careful not to do anything evil." 9 Satan replied, "Would Job worship you if he got nothing out of it? R2 10 You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country. 11 But now suppose you take away everything he has—he will curse you to your face!" 12 "All right," the Lord said to Satan, "everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job himself." So Satan left. -Job Chpater 1:6-12

20 Then Job got up and tore his clothes in grief. He shaved his head and threw himself face downward on the ground. 21 He said, "I was born with nothing, and I will die with nothing. The Lord gave, and now he has taken away. May his name be praised!"Job Chapter 1:20-21

Hope this helps, remember nothing is permanent, the bad and the good will happen as it will. What matters is your response to the crisis. I know easier said than done but it is the best way.

Are you losing your faith because of it?
I wish to send my heartfelt sorrow for this accident. Life here on earth is short. We do not know when we will be called home nor in what manner. But we do know that those whom Know Christ live eternally and that this life here on earth is just as the grass withers and fades away. But life in Christ Jesus is eternal.

Why would God allow my in-laws to roll their vehicle over on their way to church Easter Sunday?

To show them how bad they drive? To stop them sowing a seed of doubt in another believers life by a throw away comment at the church service to someone who does not go to church that regularly. To get you thinking about freewill , suffering and your own driving skills. Or to use you to prompt those questions in others. You don't say enough to make this a proper question and there are a thousand and one answers on a general level.

I hope that they are alright, will say a quick prayer for them and remain convinced of Gods goodness and that He is the Almighty even if beyond our understanding sometimes!

WOW! Rediculous. Why do you all assume that this happened for any reason other than that the roads were wet and oily and they had cheap tires? Why does it have to be part of some great and uncomprehendable plan? The fact that they were driving to church on Easter Sunday is completely irrelevent.

Are you losing your faith because of it?

My screen name has nothing to do with my post. It's just a general question from which I am looking for an answer from the Christian community.

Do you plan to change your screen name?

Did they die in the accident? If so, then maybe it was to spare them from stupid in-laws.

Would you rather it happened to people who didn't go to church? I was reading an article in our local paper...a man died in his semi after being squeezed by the semis on either side of him. The man was a pastor. Wouldn't it be better for the accident to happen to someone who knows where they are spending eternity than someone who doesn't? Wouldn't God rather choose someone he knows will be in his fold than someone he doesn't? If they didn't die, then it's the grace of God and a miracle and something to be happy for.

Just a little food for thought.
