.......argue with someone who is unwilling to be honest and truthful?

The best reason, you're descended from a long line of stubborn as mule folk who don't have the good sense to walk away from an argument or a fight for that matter when the other side isn't playing fair.

The first question that one should ask oneself is whether one should argue with others if one is not honest and truthful oneself.

So I see you have been watching a lot of the primary debates lately?

But really... I tis impossible to know a lot of that and caring about the legitimacy of your debate will get you nowhere.

Just go for the throat and debate and do whatever you want.

Namaste noodle,

indeed, there is little value in even having a conversation with them let alone trying to pursuade one to another point of view.

on these internet forums the best you can hope for in those scenarios is that the anonymous readers of the exchange may gleen some benefit from your honesty and truthfulness.

metta,

Well if talking about doing it here or other online places because others are watching. So you don;t make a dent in hte one person you are arguing with, you still can convince 20 or 100 others who are reading the dispute. In fact it almost feels like cheating, so much easier to convince people your view is right when it is so obvious the other view is flawed, even if those flaws are more the person you are arguing with not the position that person is taking.
