Has anyone ever wondered why an all-powerful God would place the burden on one group of imperfect human beings to persistently warn other imperfect human beings (in this case homosexuals) of an impending fiery hell unless they repent of their (homosexual) sin and change their ways? Does the Great Commission (spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ) REALLY involve the condemnation of others and the preaching of hell-fire toward another group of people whose only sin (pertaining to THIS issue anyway) might be that they were born different?
Most not all of the anti-homosexuality posters on this forum come across in a most condescending, if not pious, manner. Their lack of knowledge in regard to the issue of homosexuality is most evident. The majority really dont WANT to understand what its like to walk in the shoes of a homosexual person. I believe the majority are well-meaning or not religious bigots whose main mission in life seems to be to somehow win merit with God by slamming others with words from a book that THEY claim are the actual words of God. And, unfortunately, the majority of these people ARE the Christian majority!
Why were you whoever YOU might be given the task by God of putting the FEAR of God into a group of people called homosexuals who never requested that label to begin with? Why were you whoever YOU might be called by God to highlight what YOU perceive to be the sins of others (in this case the perceived sin of homosexuality) while living in sin yourselves? I really would like to know what YOU whoever - feel that your Christian calling is in regard to the condemnation of a group of people you dont even know or even CARE to know by merely referencing an ancient book that was ALSO written by imperfect human beings whose life, culture, thoughts, language, intent, interpretation, etc. are foreign to most of us.
