Why would I have a dream of flying to Heaven?

A few years ago, I had a dream that I was flying through space with an angel by my side. I saw a light in the distance and when we got to that spot, it was Heaven! I immediately felt a sense of peace and an overwelming sense of happiness!! I then saw a huge, tall gate with a lion or some kind of animal on each side. The gate opened slightly, and I saw a bright glow. Then I woke up!!

Why does God give us dreams like this? I thought it was awesome and really don't think I was dying or anything.

The purpose of God given dreams are for training as well as knowledge so that God's will can be done.

God is a spirit and when you are shown things its in the spiritual realm. Being fed spiritually. So guess what you have to be trained spiritually as well so when he speaks you get the message but, it's also to bring you closer to God too. Stay Blessed and just pay attention to all your dreams. All dreams are important because they help you to learn whether God given or not.
