It's intended for a certain type of readership. If you posted that saying it was from the Old Testament without naming it, I'd be really perplexed because it just isn't the same to me.

So the authors of those books intended them for Roman Catholics?Catholics.
Clearly Catholics read the words so they are intended for them.So the authors of those books intended them for Roman Catholics?
I'm sure there have been zillions of non-Catholic Christians who have read those books over the centuries. I think probably it's more like Roman Catholics are taught those books are extra special because "they're only in the Catholic bible". I've read "we have 73 books in our bible" proclaimed many times in numerous threads. And it's said as if no one else has access to them. Even though I can instantaneously quote from them:Clearly Catholics read the words so they are intended for them.
I do appreciate your opinion - thank you for expressing it.The same Church that said the 27 books of the NT are inspired text gave us 46 books of the OT. Therefore, your logic is incoherent.

Yeah, I read it the first time and now the second - it doesn't change the fact it is only your opinion. Your opinion (and mine also), and 1.00 will get us a senior cup of coffee at McDonald's and little else.Just making sure the truth is told
Some people need the truth to be repeated, sometimes more than twice. Looks like that's the situation here.Yeah, I read it the first time and now the second
Oh, and what is your training in Theology? Do you hold a degree and through whom? I admit I only hold a Master in Divinity. Please share your education if you presume to know more - or to instruct anyone from a place of authority. Some people need the truth to be repeated, sometimes more than twice. Further proves it is only your opinion. I’m finished unless you have some type of reference.Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction: and the spirit is lifted up before a fall.
You can always start over and PROVE my initial comment is wrong. I suspect you cannot, that is why your response focused on me instead of facts. A tactic taught in Divinity School?Further proves it is only your opinion. I’m finished unless you have some type of reference.
Have a great day.
Catholics are taught that Tobit, Judith, Baruch, Wisdom, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus), first and second Maccabees, complete Esther, and complete Daniel are inspired scripture, which does make them special.I think probably it's more like Roman Catholics are taught those books are extra special because
