Read Romans Chapter 7 and 8. Paul too have struggles over sin. Yet victory comes only through Jesus Christ our Lord! Stay your mind on Him, pray and stay in the Word for that is the only way to turn your thoughts and mind over to Him.

Swearing shows frustration, u can't see a way out.

If you find God and experience his power you will begin to realise that he can & will work all things to your good, so like me you can rejoice and be thanful in every situation !

You become a winner instead of a loser.

You need to receive God's Spirit (see Acts 2v4, 33, 39...). Others testify that they no longer swear, smoke, drink, they have something better - God's love, & life to explore.

We all make choices in our life, you curse because you choose to, it is not a drug, it's a choice you make choose not to and saee if that works, think before you speak.

i agree with fisherman, although it can become a habit, try to use other words to help you get over cursing.. like shoot or gosh or darn. then when you get into doing this, then you can lose it all , for people who have been raised around cursing and does it dailey, it is very hard to break. just start practicing to use other words, and if you are around people who curse, its going to be harder to brek yourself, that is where will power will have to kick in.

I got a problem with swearing a lot too, i've asked God to help me stop but I still swear..i know its hard.

Every time when it happens, tell yourself ' i am not like that ', use periods of meditation to cast out the hatred that is in your soul, so that only love will be what is left in you.

Yes i am . I was baptised when i was a baby & I received christ @ age 12 & i got baptised in the holy spirit on Nov 16, 2002.
