Why so many people don't accept Christianity?

Similarly, I honestly can not choose to believe that Jesus was a man-god who sacrificed himself to himself to appease himself to save humanity; I just find that too incredible. If this belief was required for salvation, I would be doomed.

My point is that there are countless people who honestly find the Christian message too incredible and therefore simply can not bring themselves to accept it as true. These people, to no fault of their own, have no way to [Christian] salvation.

Logically speaking, I don't believe these people deserve to be punished because they really do not have a choice.
