CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, that should be an easy question to answer, right? The truth is that it was desperation. I had fallen back into viewing pronography and self-gratification and I was just sick of the constant battle with lust and I knew I needed some accountability and something else to do while I was online.
I couldn't get any of my real life Christian mentors to believe that I really needed their accountability, because they thought I was so strong spiritually that they thought I could handle it and would not be overcome by this and I also think it made them uncomfortable because they couldn't relate to the issue.
So, I started searching online and ended up here and at Setting Captives Free and I went to the Women's forum here and my first post was asking for anyone who might feel led to be my accountability partner in dealing with this issue. I got someone and several offers from others who wanted to be friends and relate and then started exploring the rest of the site and here I am, now.
