Why is it that most of the controversial movies and books as of late target Jesus? I mean there isn't anything like "The Moses Code" or "The Secret Life Of Elijah". Why just Jesus?

I know what you mean. You would never see anybody trying to make movies about "The Buddah Code," or "The Muhammad Code."

The world has been attacking Jesus, because he claimed to be God. Moses didn't or Abraham.
So in fact what the world is doing is attacking God.

Next you will see the aclu trying to take the crosses out of Arlington cemitary. AS MEN we need to put our foot down and say enough is enough and get rid of P.C. and all the worry about afending some body.

As someone has already pointed out, Jesus did say He was the Truth & the Light, and that no one would see His Father except through him. It is such a brazen statement to make that, you really do have to have a reaction to it. Either you believe it or you don't. And anytime, an individual, (be it God or the rest of us) makes such bold statements, someone is going to buck against it. Clearly Satan bucked against God's authority & sovereignty, and he saw God up close & personal, so why should we expect less of us lowly humans.

Besides, I suspect the West is more suspectible to making movies about Jesus & Christianity because that's the faith they are more closely associated with it. In our free-for-all, anything not traditional, the more mysterious the better society, individuals would be less likely to attack other Eastern religions (and really Christianity did originate in the East geographically).

You can take it even further but first I will offer my view as why.

Any acknowledgement of Jesus as God, Savior, and Lord runs counter to most religious thinking and is, for the most part, in complete opposition to all other religions.

To acknowledge Jesus as God, Savior, and Lord means I have to face sin in my life. It means that I have to accept what Jesus says about Himself, the Biblical account and the convicting power of His Spirit.

It is a very exclusive claim to be the only God, The means of salvation, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. Human nature completely rebels against this.

Why not someone else other than Jesus? Peoples everywhere are well aware that to attract any other religious figure in the same way that Jesus is attract the followers for the most part will come out in a radical, hostile, blood thirsty revenge. This is the hold Satan has on these groups and this is their response to most counter claims and references to their views.

On the other side of the coin is Jesus. True converts to Jesus have a totally different world view based upon a real conversion, life changing experience and relationship with Christ who is God.

Jesus is the only one in the world that brings into play this hatred and distained. His presence and mentions tends to expose all others corruption and the wiles of Satan are on the constant march to discredit Jesus and Christianity from within and without.

I would have to agree with just about everything everyone else has said in this thread. Jesus is a major threat to anyone who does not believe in Him so of course they attack Him. We shouldn't expect anything else - as I'm sure Jesus expected and warned us about before hand. It's just the way it is and is going to be until Marnantha happens and He shows them all the Way, the Truth, and the Light = HIM!!!

That is just one of the many ways we can tell He is the Real Deal though. He is too contraversial not to be. Otherwise people wouldn't spend countless hours, monies, and efforts to try to repudiate Him.

I can just picture Him seated at the right hand of the Father shaking His head now. Can't you?
