Well, I believe it's which God you believe in - not so much knowing God's formula on how He determined to save us... I consider Arminians AND Calvanists both born again believers; whichever camp they're in.
In a way I believe they're both right and wrong and truth lies in the middle... either way, salvation doesn't rest on which 'salvational formula God uses', but the Saviour Himself (thankfully)

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of, it only says that the physical cannot inherit the kingdom. But Jesus was raised and had flesh and blood, that's the bit I don't get, because presumably He ascended physically into heaven, in His flesh and blood resurrected body, yes?...
I think it is somewhat more relevant that He could apparently appear and disappear at will -- Luke 24:31, 36.
How come? What do you think it means X? Because a pastor brought something about this up with me about Jesus appearing in a room and he asked me what I thought, but I didn't think anything and asked him what he was getting at and then he said Jesus must have walked through a wall.....
But I still don't get it, Jesus said He wasn't a ghost so how does physical matter walk through a wall? And what do you find relevant about Him appearing and disappearing at will? I mean, He can do that anyway, can't He?
It seems to me that the pastor's conclusion that Jesus must have walked through a wall isn't the only possibility. Another way one might enter a room without using the door is teleportation.How come? As I read your exchange, that's the first thing I thought of too - people were blinded and then given insight by Jesus as to who He was. How do you walk with someone you intimately knew & not recognize them? :oWell, if you look at the chapter, He apparently was somehow unrecognizable until He opened the eyes of His disciples. Then He disappeared, then later appeared. But yet when He did appear, He specifically demonstrated that He was NOT a ghost.
So, we may sort of infer that a "resurrection body" is not just wispy intangible spirit, yet it is still in SOME way different from a "regular" body.
He never did the "be unrecognizable" or "appear / vanish" thing during His earthly, pre-Crucifixion ministry. Probably the closest was the time He walked right through the hostile crowd, also recorded in Luke (4:30).

whatever the conclusion about it, it's nice that nobody's fist fighting about which scenario they think is right.

lol....well, at the end of the day, it's like you said Nadiine, it's one of those ones we can't draw solid conclusions on, we have to have faith I guess even when we don't know, but I find discussing these things quite helpful anyway, especially with friends..........
