Yes,it's a lovely picture of the love relationship between Christ and the Church,isn't it? Jesus,the Bridegroom and His Bride,the Church. The Church belongs to Christ as a bride,because He has purchased her through His blood (Acts 20:28) What a wonderful Bible truth!I believe Jesus himself started it.... He considers Himself to be the Bridegroom.
