Why is it always hard......

Why is it always hard to talk to folks about the Lord? Most of us seem to have little trouble talking about everything else.

I know I have always struggled at this point.

Answer - I don't know really, i have the same problem. work mates know i go to church but talking about god can be difficult. guess we need to pray about it more and ask him to give us courage.

I certainly need to find the courage to speak about my feeling of The Lord. See, it is still rather new to me. I didn't grow up with any bible influence. But now I have the power of the holy spirit by my side and I need to learn how to use this power.

Maybe because it's hard to pin God down in a way that people can easily understand. Kids are easy - everyone knows what your standard child looks like, you have photos, etc. But 'God' is a bit more of an amorphous concept to many... and many have completely different opinions of Him to us. Makes it hard sometimes.

I've found myself in conversations about faith/God/religion a couple of times recently... one guy at work finds me quite confusing because we share opinions on some topics... but he's stuck at the 'fact' that christians are narrowminded, can't see value in other belief systems, can't see faults in their own, etc. Let alone be logical! hehe. It's been interesting.

God never said it would be easy, he just said he would be with us always. so often after i've had conversations with people i think, why didn't i say something. words come easy afterwards but not always at the time. Lord give us wisdom, courage and strength to take the gospel to those we meet.
