Why hold a position?

Just curious, but as long as we all understand that men were created, that they had kids and then they sinned, why are we so dogmatically tied to things that aren't relevant to salvation or spirituality?

I believe evolution is a possibility.
I believe YE creationism is a possibility.
I believe OE creationism is a possibility.
I also believe their could be other possibilities.

But honestly, why does it matter which one it is, as long as we understand the implications of God's judgement and His omnipotence?

I seriously think everyone needs to step back and look at this subject from a spiritual standpoint. The "how" is truly irrelevant.

Yes, agreed.

There is no need at all for books, seminars, "ministries", etc, out there to try and convince people that one must be true and the other false. There is no need for churches to do this either. All that needs to be done is to make sure that the spiritual truths presented by the Creation accounts are accepted and believed.
