Actually it has quite a bit of evidence and merit. I can't keep the foibles of you and AV straight. I know that one of you two is extremely squeamish when it comes to sex.You have me confused with someone else apparently. The issue with worms being responsible for mankind is not that they or us have sex!
The issue is a degrading lie, foisted on kids and people in general, that has come in the disguise of 'science'. A lie that has not the slightest proof or merit.
.
Sorry gradyll, you are not being honest with your percentages. If you find something with a higher similarity for various animals with humans than chimpanzees either your site is lying or you are. Let me check your sources and I will get back to you.ERV's are not a solid link for ancestry.
any small amount of similiarity doesn't mean much: for examples we are very genetically similiar to pigs as well as well as other mammals:
"Cats have 90% of homologous genes with humans, 82% with dogs, 80% with cows, 79% with chimpanzees, 69% with rats and 67% with mice. "
sources:
Initial sequence and comparative analysis of the cat genome
Percentage of genetic similarity between humans and animals
here is the 96% similiarity as well to pigs:
Do pigs share 98 per cent of human genes? › Ask an Expert (ABC Science)
so you can easily see how such information is misleading and inconclusive.
Secondly: similarities in the genome as could possibly be due to a similiar designer, not a similar ancestor. Do we have shared ancestors with pigs, or cats? Well we are very similar to both. So the allegations are unfounded.
Actually it has quite a bit of evidence and merit.
So how is the truth a "degrading lie"?
It is not a fact. It is a tenet of your belief system. Why don't you like the fact that some of your extremely distant ancestors looked like the flatworms that you linked?
They likely could not fossilize in that former state world.Great, then where are all of tetrapoda in the beginning of all life on earth?
Hard to believe people could actually believe that.
In effect, the offspring of flatworms eventually (in the sick mind of science) led to mankind existing! You really think we owe our very existence to worms having sex!!!!
Not only that, but science says earth is basically an insignificant dot in a boundless universe. They attack the destiny God has for earth and man. Here on earth, science considers us but beasts! Just another animal!!!! An animal that has no purpose or creator.

ETA: Oh my. He quoted his figures from a website like this one to get how a cat is similar to other animals. I have not found an actual science site that gives those figures yet.
We watched this video regarding ERV and common ancestry in my 9th grade science class back in the 2011-2012 school year, so I'm assuming the information is relatively current. It's as exciting as you'd expect an educational video to be, but it's very straight-forward and informative: Endogenous Retroviruses and Common Ancestry - TeacherTube
This resource was also helpful to me, and if you're short on time it might be preferable to a 10 minute video: ERVs]ERVs and how they are proof for evolution (Page 1) - Evolution - Ask a Biologist Q&A and how they are proof for evolution (Page 1) - Evolution - Ask a Biologist Q&A
like I said, if you share common ancestry with cats, then this may be a valued resource for you, if not, it's not.

It was! Why else would stars be to mark seasons and time here!!?? Also, God Himself is moving here. That should say it all.I sometimes find it hard to believe some people think this vast universe, in which we are but a fleck of dust, was made all for one species on one little planet.
It was! Why else would stars be to mark seasons and time here!!?? Also, God Himself is moving here. That should say it all.
.
note you said "thirty species of tigers" that would be micro evolution. macro evolution (evolution betweem genus) has yet to be observed
From your link
"... inserting into exactly the same spot in two different taxa is very, very small. The more simple and therefore more reasonable explanation is that the element in question inserted into the genome of the common ancestor and then, after the divergence of the two species, simply still occupies the same spot in both taxa."
If things could insert in a different past that had different laws, in other ways, then all this amounts to is believing we must select an answer based on the belief laws were the same. If things concerning life worked differently, the we need not assume all ervs were the result of being passed down by birth. It is also to be considered that in cases where they were passed on that way from other species, the other species could have evolved super fast. In other words if there was a tiger on the ark who caught an erv, we could have had possibly 30 species of tigers in less than a century. Another interesting thought is that if all animals on earth were together in a little boat, maybe some (pre) viri got passed around!? In this present state, passing an erv requires doing it to the offspring I think?
.
We do share common ancestry with all mammals.
that is debatable see my last post on genome projects.
We must weigh your opinion with God'sStars don't exist to mark seasons,
But sailors in summer or winter used stars to guide them. They also saw the pretty starlight. Obviously the moon and sun also marked time for us.any planet is going to have perspectives in the night sky that vary by season, it isn't unique at all to earth.
A book written by ancient peoples claim god is going to come here,
Who knows?? Bad spirits are real. Zeus actually has some connection to Satan, and may be another word for him. (?) The throne of Zeus was likely the throne of Satan. (the one moved to Germany).just like there are ancient books which state Zeus had many demigod kids with humans and lived on Mt Olympus.
We must weigh your opinion with God's
Gen 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
The stars are lights in the heaven. They have a job.
But sailors in summer or winter used stars to guide them. They also saw the pretty starlight. Obviously the moon and sun also marked time for us.
Regardless of your opinion, Scripture makes that clear. Name calling won't make it go away.

Yes, your misquotes and dubious sources.
what is dubious about a genome project?
any small amount of similiarity doesn't mean much: for examples we are very genetically similiar to pigs as well as well as other mammals: "Cats have 90% of homologous genes with humans, 82% with dogs, 80% with cows, 79% with chimpanzees, 69% with rats and 67% with mice. so if the above is true we should be looking for human -feline missing links. not human-ape transitions. you can see the doubt I possess over ervs and common ancestry.
Yes, your misquotes and dubious sources.
I see that you are still being dishonest.
Why are you still using the numbers from a forum where the person used different sources for his percentages?
You need to use numbers from one source only since there are different ways to measure similarity.
