I don't consider what you imagine the devil to be thinking as a point. Most of what you posted above is pure speculation. The art of missing the point. Some should write a book about. They are so gifted in that area.
Yep, and God used it against him, a humiliating and crushing defeat. He must love having that brought to mind every time he sees a crucifix.
During the Tribulation Satan's man will attempt to kill off all Jews. He is not yet feeling his defeat. We know it. He denies it, and takes pleasure in his denials.
For if all Jews could be destroyed? Jesus would not be able to fulfill His promise to return to Israel and set up His kingdom. If that could be done? The Lord would be proven a liar, and Satan will get off from his sentence to the Lake of Fire.
Satan takes great pleasure in the thought of killing not only Jesus, but all Jews as well. Its one reason Islam wants to drive the Jews into the sea......
Delusional ego mania reigns in Satan. He does not see his defeat. He still sees the death of all Jews as his salvation. Idf he could succeed? Jesus being crucified would then become a day of celebration for Satan...
That is why delusional people confound the sane. Satan is the father of delusion.
We know that.So what? We're not talking about what Satan felt at the time of the crucifixion, we are talking about what it reminds him of now, which was his own 'nature' being used against him

That means you can not sort out what I have been saying.Which would be personal interpretation of prophetic riddles (Nu 12:8) in contradiction to NT teaching that the never-ending Messianic kingdom (Lk 1:33) of God was brought to us (Lk 11:20) at Jesus' first coming, a kingdom not of this world (Jn 18:36), but of the spiritual world, invisible (Lk 17:20) and within (Lk 17:21) the hearts where he reigns and rules.
The NT does allows for no other kingdom of God.
We know that.
You think Satan accepts or denies what we understand?

The Devil suffers from delusional insanity. The devil is too cunning not to understand the devastating implications of what happened to him at the passion of our Lord.
Many Protestants seem to dislike crucifixes, so they only use crosses. Now, it seems like the more modern Protestants don’t even like crosses in their churches either.
This makes no sense to me. In 1 Corinthians 1:23 Paul was very clear when he wrote, “we preach Christ crucified.”
I’m not say we don’t need to preach Jesus risen, but I think we should do both.
The Devil suffers from delusional insanity.
God is patiently and consistently making the Devil more and more unable to deny reality.
If the Devil were in the state you wish to see him? The devil would have given up and ceased all he is trying to find a way to escape his sentence to the Lake of Fire.
Once you stop seeing the Devil as being as rational and sane? Then you will understand why we constantly see certain believers blindly pushing false doctrine with irrational dogmatism. For God allows such believers to remain on earth to show the fallen angels how they keep on trying to make themselves feel justified.
Curious... What doctrines (denomination) do you follow?I don’t wish to see the devil at all. Rather I am heeding the Biblical and Patristic warnings to not underestimate him.

Chapter and verse please. Not some man made tradition. The Devil suffers from delusional insanity.
The devil knows what his fate is. He simply wants to take as many people with him as he can.God is patiently and consistently making the Devil more and more unable to deny reality.

Reading the discourse between God and the devil in Job does not present an image of insanity and irrational thought. Neither when Jesus was tempted by the devil before He began His ministry.Once you stop seeing the Devil as being as rational and sane? Then you will understand why we constantly see certain believers blindly pushing false doctrine with irrational dogmatism. For God allows such believers to remain on earth to show the fallen angels how they keep on trying to make themselves feel justified.
Chapter and verse?????????Chapter and verse please. Not some man made tradition.
Chapter and verse?????????
Satan is delusional and insane. Criminally insane.
If he were sane he would have his hands up and would cease and desist all the evil he is trying to use in the world and religion. He would have surrendered by now if he were sane as you claim.
Smart criminals know the law better than most citizens . And, so do the religious.
........
Have you seen what pride does to some people?

Often times... makes them very religious and locks them into limited commentaries from another day, creeds and traditions. Unable to think in the here and now by doctrinally finding new solutions as needed with God's Word in the filling of the Spirit.
Luther in his day was breaking away from religion... And, over time, even that has become too much like another religion to replace the last because solutions through further growth have ceased. Resting on the successes of the past.
But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
To do that? That requires a constant learning of sound doctrine and having the Spirit transforming the mind to think on one's feet to remain free from the wold's power to appeal to the pride and peer pressure from men .... Even proud religious men, who see themselves as being the very thing what Jesus seeks.
Yes I have seen what pride does to some people.
grace and peace ..........
I've seen what it does do me, often times. I don't think any of us need to look very far.Have you seen what pride does to some people?
-CryptoLutheran
I'm not going to entertain that tangent.
The point is the devil's pride. The devil doesn't need to be insane to refuse surrender or what not; he merely needs to be full of pride--which is exactly the case. The devil is, above all, full of himself.
And yet he remains a coward who tucks his tail between his legs at the mere mention of Him who was crucified, for by the cross Christ took all the devil's power and hubris and threw it back in his face, crushing him beneath His nail-marked feet. He has crushed the old snake beneath the weight of His cross and resurrection.
Christ is risen from the dead,

Those are your words, not the words of Scripture."Sane" to think he can replace God and do even a better job?
