I don't think a poor performance in a debate makes him incompetent. While that Commander in Cheif is expected to be a flawless public speaker, a debate performance is just that, a performance. He could still be able to make clear concise decisions when there is time to consider all options and consult with the White House staff. I have done public speaking and acting and sometimes you just choke. I don't think it means that he can't make clear considerate decisions. Surely a poor debate performance will make a candidate look bad but I don't think he has made decisions about policy based on incompetent thinking. I think that given time to consider all angles, he can still make intelligent decisions

I think enough democrats want to see Biden replaced by someone more competent. Why is this such a tricky scenario?
I don't know why republicans would be pushing for Biden to be replaced?
Some news sources suggest that Harris polls unfavorably within a key demographic that supports the Democratic party - not sure if that is part of the thinking or not.

I don't think a poor performance in a debate makes him incompetent.
I think that behaviors that strongly point to cognitive decline for an 81 year old - as seen not only in the debate but repeatedly over the past few years is worth considering.

Even the inquiry about Biden not being fit to stand trial for decisions he made in the past - with the argument that he has declined in his aging state so much that he could not be expected to give a good defense/answer for his past actions - is another great "indicator" for anyone thinking that his aging process "will reverse itself" over the next months, over the next four years. Their defense was that the jury would surely "feel sorry" for the man in his aging state of decline and would not expect him to have the capacity to provide a defense of his actions in the past.
While that Commander in Cheif is expected to be a flawless public speaker, a debate performance is just that, a performance.
IF we were talking about a 50 year old where no cognative decline issues were in question and we ignored "the details" in that video of the debate -- well then... sure. At a sufficient distance from the facts/details - that idea could be entertained.

I still think that the debate isn't a measure of his ability to make considered decisions. I have seen a few rallies since the debate where he was fired up and not forgetting his place. I have taken a public speaking class and when seen that when someone flubs a statement it can cause a person to get rattled. I think that not only can Biden make intelligent choices, e has a team surrounding him that can with research and the writing of legislation. Most politicians don't write their own legislation but they have it done by their team. I still prefer Biden because of his morality rather than a man with no moral compass.
