I doubt it would be easy to elect a person that is wise and good enough for the job, and even if it would be possible, who says that the moral beliefs of that person will be anything like ours?

Some people would call this communism, whether it's communism or not.

The question is, should we tolerate religious communities even if they themselves are intolerant? What if their religion requires them to commit crimes?

Religious tolerance is a much more complex issue than that.

Obviously won't work. As I can see it, some religious people don't even want to enjoy life, what with all those ascetics? This, and I doubt the religions will just stop fighting each other just because someone says they should. If I was religious, I would fight, too.

What makes you think that one guy doesn't already run the world? I know many people that will tell you who that guy is, though not all of them agree about his identity. When I was younger Rockefeller was the most popular choice. Now it might be George Soros. Personally, I think it isn't a guy at all but a woman who is just too clever to let us know she's doing it.

Some believe that one guy already does ... though people argue about who that guy, or God is ... in fact, some don't even believe there is a god.

Quite a few have been eager to rule the world ... Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Napolean, Genghis Khan, etc. The wannabe list is long.

The current contenders seem to be George Soros and Muhammed.

Don't know about you, but neither of those guys appeals to me all that much.

Well I think the end goal is to have a world government, but it would have to be democratic and not run by just one person. The main problem isn't that we can't all agree on who is good and wise (though that is a problem, especially at present), but that power corrupts. It is a psychological fact that power changes peoples personalities and can make them crazy with power over time.

Religious tolerance, and liberty in general, would have to be one principle of the world constitution. Well it is already in Human Rights anyway.

As fun as it is to talk about guys, personally I enjoy talking about politics, religion, ethics, philosophy, etc. It does get irritating in certain types of arguments, but in real life I never really have ones like that too often.

Second: That person might be good and wise when elected, but after a while would be inevitably corrupted by power.

And we accommodate for everyone.

We don't accommodate for everyone now, and if our leader were wise, he would know that he couldn't.

Smart people often make other people uncomfortable by sounding smart. Sometimes they do have to pretend stupidity so the other chimps don't lynch them, but here, online, protected by pseudonyms, they don't have to be quite so careful. Part of being smart is presenting your ideas clearly and grammatically, so that they are easily understood.
You might try dreaming less, and thinking more.
