God's mercy, we ask for every time we pray the Lord's Prayer.God will even allow him to do it over and over again without puting a stop to it? Where is God's mercy on us?
God's mercy, we ask for every time we pray the Lord's Prayer.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive others.
This has helped me greatly to be patient when others sin. If God is patient with me when I sin over and over, then I must be just as patient with others that repeatedly sin.
It would be hypocritical for us to expect mercy for our sins, but instant judgment for the sins of others. Basically we become the judge and not God.

Why Does Sin Have to be Punished?
Where does the Bible ever say that sin is punished?
What does that mean?
What would be the point of punishing sin, if that is even possible?
Is "sin" a personal being that can be punished?
Sinners are punished by God. For their own good (e.g. 1 Cor.5:4-5). Never sadistically, pointlessly, endlessly, or without a positive loving purpose in mind.
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. - 1 Corinthians 13:12I don't even know if sinners are punished because I see people who hurt people on a daily basis with no repcrussions for their actions.

You can’t see all of what there is to see. There’s much more. We’ve been trying to tell you that what’s going on here is temporary, and we can’t see it all. What does that mean in relation to my post?

God’s got this. You need to rest in Him and trust Him.
Then stop asking us for answers that you’ll just reject.I know what I see and it makes for a crappy life

Sorry to hear that. What is it you see? Do you speak of yourself or others?
Perhaps such will have a greater measure of joy than most when that turns around. Which it will.

Why Does Sin Have to be Punished?
Please acknowledge a difference between discipline and punishment. Discipline for the saved, punishment for those not.Sinners are punished by God. For their own good (e.g. 1 Cor.5:4-5). Never sadistically, pointlessly, endlessly, or without a positive loving purpose in mind.
I think we are mostly addressing earthly punishment and to that end Jesus's death does not take away earthly punishment or discipline. The purpose of Jesus' death was to atone the sins of those being saved such that on judgment day their sins are not remembered. Jesus was not punished, he suffered as scripture says. What is the punishment for sin that Jesus bore for sinners? Is the punishment (for sin justly due to sinners) eternal torments? Is Jesus, then, suffering eternal torments?
God knows what he is doing, while our job is to figure out what God wants in us. Trust that God is just and will punish those not saved.W
What I see is having to deal with this situation the rest of our lives. It could always be an issue. There is no true moving on.

Yes God does at times punish the wicked in this age. Sadistic, so you judge God. Look to God's righteous punishment of Sodom and Gomorrah. Look at the flood. Do you think this was discipline with the hope that they would repent and had a loving purpose in mind?
