  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why does God care?

Why does god care how we act on Earth? Why does he give us the option to do actions if thier wrong and un-just? Why doesn't he come down from the sky and give us proof he exists? Why? What will it do to him? He lives in the sky granting wishes and making things happen. What harm does it do to him? And who says the Catholic Church knows what God wants?

We are His creation. He loves us and has a vested interest in us.

If one is incapable of doing evil, one is equally incapable of doing good (check out A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, book or movie, for a non-theological examination of this theme)

He did in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was a physically, emotionally, and spiritually excruciating effort for Him, but He did it so that none would be lost who wanted to be saved.

No, He permeates the univcerse. And he doesn't grant wishes; that's Santa Claus or Aladdin's genie you're thinking of. God enables us to live in harmony with one another and the rest of His creation if we are willing to listen.

Your question is so unclear as to be meaningless; try re-phrasing it.

Certainly not Martin Luther!

Okay.
"What harm does it do to him?"
If we do something wrong, how does it negatively affect god?
"Check out a CLOCKWORK ORANGE..."
Let me explain to you a little concept called fiction....
"He did in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ"
2004 (and counting) years ago. That's fantastic. What real, conclusive, 'i'm gonna change my life around to follow him' proof that God has given us to proove his existance.
