After Joe Biden was inaugurated in 2012, the S & P 500 (a broader and more comprehensive index of the financial markets) has more than doubled. And I can honestly say my investments have done well over the last 4 years.

Most people are paying ridiculously high prices for most everything.

Inflation in 2020 was largely driven by Covid-19. Unemployment skyrocketed. Fortunate workers, when possible, began doing their jobs from home. Demand was high, especially for household products. (Remember the toilet paper shortage?) And prices rose. But in the last 4 years, the unemployment rate has dropped to near-historic lows. (Check the graph.) More people working, and buying necessities will raise prices. But low unemployment is a good thing, and more important.
