Why do you think that the Fab 40's forum has so many games?

Staff have been discussing the games and how there are so many it is hard to find a thread that is a discussion.

Why do you think we have so many games here?

For me I like having games in here. And I think it is a great way to fellowship one with another. I would much rather hang in here anyday, anytime then in the Rec room.

Lol that's so funny tg. When I first started posting here I asked myself the same question (I remember starting a thread titled "Milk or Meat?") but as I got to know some of the people that post here, I started to understand that the majority of the Fab 40's come here for fun and fellowship. We do have the sporadic "serious" thread or conversation and of course we pray for one another, but for the most part, I think people come here to kinda goof off and have a few laughs.....it's all good to me

Me too, and I have found that you can get to know each other in the games with how you answer some of them.

IMHO, this place is home to me. I love the people that post here. I've gone to the Rec. Room and have played in there too but haven't found a lot of fellowship there. I'm hoping staff doesn't take our games away and put them in the Rec. Room...(since most of them was snagged from there )

Yes I feel the same way too. This is like home. so many nice people to talk to.

We do have serious conversations in here, but often won't start a thread w/it. You'll find them through things like the Roll Call thread as well as the fellowship (sticky) threads. When we do start those serious threads, many people will respond. Recent threads along those lines dealt w/Sunday School lessons and whether to take a job.

Like others here, I come for the fellowship. This is one place where (a) I'm accepted and welcomed and (b) not ignored or shouted down. We come here after getting beaten up elsewhere and need to be told we're okay, that we're loved and, well, yes, to hear from others that Jesus loves us which we might not always get/feel in other forums.

Like MMXII, I hope that you don't take this forum or our games away. This is a home for many of us, where we come for friendship and fellowship.

I've noticed that there's some fellowshipping going on in some of the games ... the True or False, The Person Below Me, Agree or Disagree ... and several others are a neat way to find out stuff about each other ... and since most of us also chat in some of the chatting threads we kind of get to know each other directly and indirectly ... anyway, this is a nice, non-threatening place to hang out after a busy day.

I agree. This is the place I've felt the most at home. I find it's where I spend the most time. Before this forum came along, I just kind of flitted around, and still go to some other threads, but the fellowship that goes on here is just wonderful. Like others before me have said, the games are just part of that fellowship.

I don't know...I kinda have mixed feelings on this issue. In a way, I like the idea that it is a "non-threatening" way to fellowship. On the other hand, it's difficult to keep up with everyone's different responses to the games, so it makes getting to know someone a little more difficult. When I do want serious conversation, I usually end up going to other forums to post. I do wish we had more serious threads here but I'm probably only one voice of few who feel this way in this forties forum. I do agree that the people here are awesome and very fun to hang out with. So you see, I've got lots of mixed opinions here.

So no one wants to admit they're just getting to old to move that quickly to another section of the board. Or is it because we'd rather "game" with friends we're starting to make on this section of the board? (If so, maybe I should start participating in some of the game threads just for the fellowship. Edit: Well, besides the matchmaking and flirting threads. )

tg - Would there be much left if all the games were put into a subforum?

Senior Staff have ruled that we will not get a subforum for games and have told us to reduce the amount of games in this area so that other fellowship is nurtured too.
