  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

why do you hate music?

but I really do hate it sometimes...normally when I can't find anything new to get into.

There are a lot of times I wish I had that problem. It's usually more like I have too much new stuff to get into, and not enough money.

Oh yes, this is true...there are always plenty of bands that I intend to look into, but time and money are cruel mistresses. I'll flip through hundreds of songs sometimes without finding anything that is really inspiring.

I view it as an opportunity to become acquainted with an artist. If I like what I hear, I don't hesitate to buy the artist's music. :)

Hmm... Methinks people took me a bit too seriously... This was just a reaction to the "why do u hate ____" threads. Maybe I should have titled it, "why do I hate your favorite kind of music?" ;)

Maybe you should make a "Why do you hate hating music?" thread to redeem yourself. :D

I remember last year was when I discovered all of my fave bands - a personal renaissance. Now it's like the well's run dry. I occasionally come across good things, but nothing like all the stuff I discovered last year.

But Copeland's new album is coming out March 22nd, at least...I can't wait...
