This is just a question seeking an answer, I don't understand why believing in God is better than other religions
Other religions don't claim to be the Word of God's council in book form, for starters. This is just a question seeking an answer, I don't understand why believing in God is better than other religions

No religion saves people. That includes religious Christianity, which I call Christianism. Humanity's problem is not that there are insufficient rules or moral codes or advice. The problem is separation from God by sin. Everyone is born with the sinful nature, so sin is inevitable. This is just a question seeking an answer, I don't understand why believing in God is better than other religions

Well, there are gods and then there is God. Let's take Hinduism for example , there are numerous gods to pick from, you can even make up your own god. Then there is Buddhism, there are no gods only you can become god through enlightenment. Then there are the Druids, trees are their gods. This is just a question seeking an answer, I don't understand why believing in God is better than other religions
Every other religion tells people they must do this or that and then maybe they will be allowed into the afterlife.
If I'm reading your comment here correctly, you are implying that obedience is not necessary to follow Christ. Is that right?Much of christianity says this too, i have seen it on this forum many times. They just also, throw in Jesus with their mix of actions to do. Repentance/turning from sin, baptism, obedience, confession, obeying the commandments, etc....

I tend to see the term 'religions' as differing images or descriptions of God, rather than God. The term 'God' in scripture is axiomatic, because it means the source of the energy that created all things. The term therefore means everyone's Creator, so it makes no sense to believe we exist but the source of the energy that created us doesn't. If I were you, knowing what I just pointed out, the way I would frame the question is Why is Jesus considered the True Image of God sent by God, as compared to other images? This is just a question seeking an answer, I don't understand why believing in God is better than other religions
With you comment i assume you also are stating obedience is necessary to be a born again believer.
Either that or you do not separate obedience from faith in The Messiah for Eternal Life. to you they are the same.
Which would place you in the group that requires action to be allowed into the afterlife.
James 2:14-17 14What good is it, my brothers, if someone claims to have faith, but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you tells him, “Go in peace; stay warm and well fed,” but does not provide for his physical needs, what good is that? 17So too, faith by itself, if it does not result in action, is dead.
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and asked Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2:37-38 BSB
So James was wrong then? And Peter was wrong?Again like i was saying that many have turned christianity into another work based religion. To see if a person in the end was obedient enough. Christianity has created a check off list to make it to heaven, some denominations require more or some require less. But still they have a to do check off list.
First, believing in God is not a religion but a relationship. This is just a question seeking an answer, I don't understand why believing in God is better than other religions
