Why do people try to obey the law when it's not possible

Hebrews chapter 7 verses 11,12 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood for on the basis of it the law was given to the people why was there still need for another priest to come one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.
verse 18 and 19 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless for the law made nothing perfect and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

no, God knew we could not keep His commandments, God's law's were given to us to show us what sinners we are, and that all the sacrifices and trying to follow the Law would not save us, that is why God =Jesus came to be that perfect sacrificial Lamb, and to fulfill the Law, for we could not do it.

Of course we follow the moral teachings given to us by God with the help of the Holy Spirit, and we follow the commands of Jesus, to love God with all our being, and to love our neighbors as ourself. This is how we submit to our God.

God says we can keep His Laws...

Deuteronomy 30:10-14

10 if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commands and decrees that are written in this Book of the Law and turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. 12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it? 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it? 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it.

The New Testament plainly states that if you break any one part of the Old Law, you are guilty of breaking it all. This is why their was no reward of eternal life except for the sages because it IS impossible. Anyone who has read Leviticus, for example, knows exactly what I mean. Even sages were saved only because of unconditional election.
You cannot serve the Old and the New Covenant because they are opposed to each other. One is eye for eye while the other is forgiveness. Christians should not even labor under a thought of living under Mosaic Law, which is why no Christian should propose anything congruent to it such as the death penalty or fetuses being property. You are under a law of grace, not perfection.

The Ten Commandments are not the Old Law, they are the universal principles literally set in stone. All Abrahamic religion, I believe, adheres to them. They are absolute and unavoidable.

Jesus says to follow the Commandments anyway, so the argument is obsolete.

Exodus 34:28 is the only place where the Ten Commandments are named. Do you follow all the Laws listed in that chapter?

No one obeys the law.
Galatians chapter 5 verse 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command love your neighbor as yourself.

none of us can obey the laws fully, not even the ten commandments...Jesus teaches us this in His sermon on the mount. One example given is, even if you look at a women (or man) lustfully you have committed adultery.

Meaning nothing we can do in the flesh can save us from death but Jesus.

The moral code (the ten commandments), is written on all human beings hearts. They are for us to live by, why? Not for salvation, but because the Law is good, it honors God, and shows the love of God to others when we obey this law. But we will never be able to do so perfectly, for we battle with our flesh.

14 Even Gentiles, who do not have Gods written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. 15 They demonstrate that Gods law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. 16 And this is the message I proclaimthat the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyones secret life. (Romans 2)

Galatians chapter 3 verse 24,25,23 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith now that faith has come we are no longer under the supervision of the law before this faith came we were held prisoner's by the law locked up until faith should be revealed.

This scripture clearly states that you can follow His commands and if you say not...then, you are calling God a liar. Furthermore, I'm sure all of you are familiar with the scripture..."I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Just because you do not think that you can do what God has asked does not mean that you are allowed to do what YOU want. Do you raise your children that way?

Romans 8:7 "Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. "

Are you naysayers saying that you have a carnal mind? Clearly this scripture says that the CARNAL mind would not subject itself to the law of God.

Jesus says to follow the Commandments anyway, so the argument is obsolete.

He also tells us that NOTHING shall pass from the Law till ALL is accomplished and heaven and earth pass. (Luke 16:17 | Matthew 5:17-20)

In the Luke gospel it explains further that everything that needed to be fulfilled regarding the son of man needed to be fulfilled .

Second .. it seems a silly point .. during winter to speak of the grass

and an additionally somewhat irrelevant point to speak of law and the prophets when their age is over (luke 16:16) . technically .. it's still there .. for transgressors .. but for those who bear the fruit of the spirit .. against such there is no law .

"I don't wanna keep the Law."
"I know I can't keep the Law."
"I am not subject to the Law."
"I want nothing to do with the Law."
