I don't worship the father of that spirit child either.Glad to hear, because neither do I.
We do Belive in the fact that there is a Mother in Heaven. But we still worship no one but the Father. This shouldnt be such a shock to people. God teaches that we should be married to some one we really care about, so why not him? And as for that they have a mther and father in heaven, that is not taught in our church, if you have quotes that can be verified from Church leaders then I would like to see them please, (no rudeness intended.)Breetai said:
It seems like the teachings of the LDS church imply that Jesus is the spirit child of a heavenly father and mother, which in turn have a heavenly father and mother and so on... That might not be 'official doctrine', but some LDS leaders have taught or implied that. Do you really believe that that(the heavenly father and mother, etc.) is really not true Doc?

We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
The topic of this thread is why do other Christians judge mormons if that is God's domain. The 11th article of faith (which I recopied) points out that those of the restoration tradition (which includes more than just mormons) allow others to worship how, where and as they may. It doesn't say that we should all go out and persecute them just because they believe and worship differently.
I see no difference between what you accuse the LDS of and the way you all act. You claim that you don't believe the tenets of mormonism, then yell and scream because they believe that they are the "true church".
IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT, WHY DOES IT BOTHER YOU THAT MUCH???
I don't believe that you all have all the light and truth, but I don't come here condemning you all to Hades.

If I follow a doctrine, and you think Im in err, would you want to discuss the matter in hopes of me understanding why Im in error, or would you just have a happy day with no worries in the world?

I like to talk to them when I see them on the street. I tell them that I have a message of love from Jesus Christ for them. I like to invite them to church with me.Annoying LDS are still knocking on our doors and telling us they have more truth than we do.

When the Rebels are captured the Duke asks the Rebel commander if he knew the war was over. He said yes. The Duke asks him, "Then why are you fighting?" He said, "This is our land and you're on it." Jenda said:And it is only your OPINION that mormons are not Christians. Or did God come down and give you that personal revelation that says specific people are not Christian?
Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
Der Alter said:Actually yes I prayed about it and had a burning bosom. It might have been my duodenal ulcer kicking up but I'm pretty sure it was the spirit telling me.
This forum is Christian as defined in the rules not LDS. Happy? I don't go to LDS forums and micturate in their pool.
Whats wrong with you? Why do you give a thumbs up to Der Alta and not Jenda. It's Jenda who is fighting your corner not Der Alta. Incase you missed the meaning of Der Alta's post he WANTS YOU OUT.ST:DS9 said:
