What is your point? BTW, of the 15 verses, only Mark 16:9 - as it is translated in the KJV and similar translations - says that the resurrection took place on the first day of the week.

The thread is why do people hate the SDA, but a lot of water has flowed under the bridge. The question askes for opinion. One question is (and I am surprised to find that I asked the question) "Why do people hate the SDA", or are those who claim hatred paranoid. The first couple of pages in this thread are interesting.

What possible reason would Atheists have for singling out the SDA for hating; what possible reason would non-Christian religions have for singling out the SDA for hating; so implied by my question, "Of those who hate the SDA, regardless of what basket the come out of, what is the cause of their hatred?"

It is institutionalised hatred that is the problem more so than personal hatred; what is hatred; it is not merely an emotion, hatred can be very calm, insidious, covert and hidden by illusion. It is not a matter of if the SDA are hated but rather what form the hatred takes.

Who hates those who keep the commandments of God, from a Christian perspective; Rome hated the Jews, for military/political reasons although the Jews were identified by their Sabbath keeping. Then we come to the inquisitions where the main identifier was Sabbath keeping and the charge was "Judaism". Why did Rome and the Spanish Royal family, hate sabbath keepers? Why did the English Church hate the Puritans and kick them out of England? The Sabbath wasn't the issue in that case; there were French Puritans who kept the Sabbath.

Nonsense. No one hates Catholics. As posted earlier God's people are in every church and especially the Roman Catholic church. It is the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church however, that have been responsible for leading people away from God and his Word and much of which has been handed down to Protestantism of today. God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God is calling his people out from following the teachings and traditions of men that lead his people away from God and his Word back to the pure Word of God. Please stop making things up that have no truth in them. Gods sheep hear his Voice (the Word) and follow him. Those who do not hear will not follow.

What I meant was, and I am not anyone's judge in this regard, if the SDA was a true church, keeping the commandments of God, or even if they only presumed to be a true church, they would evoke hatred. On the other hand those who hate are not true keepers of the Law and are therefore actors presuming to be true.

I can allow that you mean something different to what you have said or are deceived about what God askes; was it impossible for Adam to refrain from eating from a particular tree, no, but Adam was deceived by Eve who was deceived by the devil. Only those deceived by the devil have difficulty with what God askes. So we are all deceived by the devil and what is required is overcoming; when we stumble God askes us to repent; that we repent when we stumble is always implied in every ask. Remember the Sanctuary, the Sanctuary service and the High Priest; the Sanctuary is a sanctuary from sin and the Sanctuary service is totally to do with repentance and from repentance comes sanctification.

Now if one was to truncate the Law and omit repentance, the Sanctuary and God's role in it, then what is left may be impossible, but it is not a God ask.

I am not aware that the SDA hate Catholics, most SDA are ex-Catholics or descendant of ex-Catholics. SDA hate the Catholic religion because it is an imposter, it is Jezebel who rides the beast. I believe you are wrong on every point; the Papacy would not agree, they would agree with the SDA, the only difference would be the SDA would say the Papacy is wrong doing it, whereas the Papacy would say they are right doing it.

My understanding of Paul “rejecting” Sabbath keeping is tied to the idea that we are dead to the law (being dead to ourselves), the Roman Catholics teach we are still under the 10 commandments but an altered version, and SDA teach we are still under the 10 commandments as written.

I’ve kept legalistic Sabbath observance in the past and I believe the law is a tutor, observing the Sabbath was one of the first things I did in the process of converting, but now I’m learning to let go of that.

Not to observe the day on Sunday but to trust that I’m truly letting go of myself more and more, putting faith into entering that rest that Joshua (son of Nun) couldn’t provide.

The tree was placed in the center of the garden. God obviously didn't do that as a preventative measure.

You're making a huge mistake. Unlike seventh-day Sabbatarians, Puritan Sabbatarians practice first-day Sabbatarianism (Sunday Sabbatarianism), keeping Sunday as Sabbath and referring to it as the Lord's Day. Puritan Sabbath is expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

Good. Jesus was resurrected on Sunday = First day of the week. He was _not_ resurrected on Monday.

The 2 days at the end of the 7-day week are Friday and Saturday. In the West, people work on Friday and rest on Saturday (the Seventh day of the week) and Sunday (the First day of the week on which Jesus was resurrected).

I personally believe every thing went as God intended, I cannot imagine what would have happened other wise; It may depend on whether the war in heaven was before Adam or after Adam.

I don't see the place meant of the tree is relevant or it's relevance is not applicable here. Adam was disobedient on the back of being deceived. But departing from the thread, there seems to be something logically amiss; eating from the tree of life is something those with eternal do. We are often told (not by scripture) that Adam had eternal life until he fell.

The OP is oddly mistaken. Most folks, including myself, don't hate the SDA primarily because we have never heard of it. We are much more likely to dislike religious bigots who believe that their church is the one and only TRUE CHURCH OF GOD. If the SDA falls into that category I probably might have a reason to dislike it, but I probably would not muster the energy to stir a mild dislike into an active hatred unless that denomination would, in one form or another, attempt to force me to join it.

I have not heard this before, so I googled it and examined the arguments for Judaism being the religion of the beast; I also found arguments for why Catholicism was the religion of the beast. The evidence in both cases was circumstantial; and it seemed to me one was the image of the other, that they were of the same type; the Catholic Church has always been anti-Semitic and presumably her daughter Churches, until Hitler made antisemitism unpopular.

I view Judaism/Pharisism and Catholicism at opposite ends of he same continuum equidistant from God in the middle. The Catholics think the are judged by a different law.

I know nothing of Judaism to day and my opinions are based on the Bible: the reasons why I do not believe Judaism is the Church on the back of the beast (Rome of old) is Judaism has never had a prostitutary relationship with Rome; these have always hated each other; Rome with or without the Papacy has persecuted the Jews relentlessly.

Revelation speaks of a good church and a bad church and a bad Church; the good church is from Israel (not Pharisism) indicated from the twelve stars and is what Jesus called his mother; the bad Church is identified by it's relationship with the beast.
