• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I been reviewing your posts, some are really good and others just saying could use little work on spiritual maturity.

Go easy on yourself, learn to let small stuff roll off your shoulder. Think of it this way, you are a reborn child of God. Like any child you are going to trip and make mistakes while maturing. Just when you make a mistake, laugh it off as something funny. Look over what happened, and ask how can I do better the next time. Also you might repeat the mistake just forgot to do the change. Takes time and mental effort to change human behavior.

Forgive yourself, don't let your impatiences and fears get the better of you. No different than anyone else babe.

About your worries and fears, I like you to give them to God.

Phillippians 4:6-7
"6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand."

Go easy on yourself, and forgive yourself when things don't go as planned.

Thanks for the kind words but I think I need a break away from this board. What is so upsetting is I honestly didn't mean to cause problems but now I am probably blacklisted or something.

In WD? :) Yeah some of the blassez indifference attitude some Americans have about the appalling treatment of animals is quite disturbing I agree. I don't understand how they can do it

hehe yeah I was tempted too but I knew who you were. Just with so many complaining about industry, do no good, that just get tired of it. Don't take it personally, just indifference of opinion.

Sometimes I just open my mouth to change feet !!! Sometimes I feel like it's a habit I can't get out of...because I'm such a talker....just try to remember one word......and say it over and over again...RELAX, RELAX, RELAX...... Hugs, Annie

Teh heh.....very funny ;) !! You are exactly right, we all screw up sometimes and make mistakes...after all we are humans...not God! Just do what you can to patch things up and continue on. That's all anyone can do. It's probably not as bad as you think it is anyway...you are probably beating yourself up for nothing!! Sending you hug!!!

Why is it that no matter what I do it always causes problems. I don't want to go into details but even on this section of the board I am causing problems even though I honestly don't mean to. I am now left feeling humiliated and even more depressed.
Since you do not go into details, it is hard to really say anything. But, I can say that most of the time in the past when I would think that way it was because I didn't feel like anyone cared unless there was turmoil.

This was a problem stemming from my parents not paying any attention to me unless I had done something wrong. Into adulthood you find that this get twisted into thinking that getting through a traumatic experience is what make you feel alive.

possible solution. be the intitiator of friendship activities. Call people, do things and if someone is busy, just say to yourself, they are busy we will go do something sometime, Then call someone else.

The important thing to know is eventually you will find your real friends, and you will be on your way.

The #1 most important thing to remember, is that a friends job is not to heal you, ever. If they happen to find away, that is ok.

Second most important thing to remember is that getting through this will be hard work.

Hi Friend,

I know what you mean about feeling this way... I'm so insecure sometimes that I let every detail turn into a worry that eats me up inside...
There's always risk involved when you're reaching out, or learning and growing (things that this forum is all about). :groupray:

I will keep you in my prayers, and like so many have said already, go easy on yourself. Unless you're really blasting people left and right, I don't think you'll be blacklisted at all. I think it's just something that will die down and fade.. What's important is the good things - and I know you were very comforting to me when I needed it most. Thanks much.
