  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I came up with the name MehGuy in like 2006 or 2007. At the time my self esteem was pretty low, so I figured the name fit lol. The name can also be an expression of how I find life in general pretty "meh".

Contrary to popular belief, my screenname is not after Neve Campbell.

I selected it because I was looking for something easy to spell, and Neve is also similar to the Spanish nieve, which means "snow," a bit of a personal joke in reference to my fair skin. I had a different screenname before this one on another board, but it was Russian and not that user friendly.

I was slowly coming out of the most difficult time of my life and figured since my life was taking a turn for the better I would change my name. Knowing that each day is a brand new day since we don't know what will really happen in our lives brought me comfort (and still does). "A new day" concept still helps me during down times.

well, red and blue correspond to my rather changing high-low emotions . . . and I always imagine talking with my brother Blue. I am Red. my parents sortof picked those colors for us at birth. And Blue used to be this online imaginary character I would talk with in my posts long ago. people went by colors instead of names back then. and red is my favorite color, blue is most other people's favorite color. red and blue sortof hold the same visual value in a way artistically so they are kindof special. you'll see that in some movies where they switch between color filters of red and blue to create suspense. I always liked that red held two different color spots in physics. oh, and my favorite number is 2. and what could be better than 2 number 2's side by side? maybe you might find it interesting that 2 to the 22nd power is 4194304. I used to use that number a lot too, but people started thinking I was weird or sneaking my phone number in or something. it was easy to remember for me, and well, if anyone wanted to find me they just needed to type in the power of 2 to 22. 4 is pretty cool too. I mean, it is 2 times 2 or 2 plus 2. and you'll notice that 4194304 has the number 4 at the beginning middle and end. and again, red and blue are my 2 favorite colors.
