Sorry, I did not know were els to ask this but I dont understand this at all. Mosis was a prophet for god and sets the jews free of Eygipt. God is the god of all people and created all men and women and loves them. So why did god kill so many egyiptians? the one that bothering me the most is when he killed the frist born. Did he not create the Egiptians like he created the Jews? I not defending the inslavement of the Hewbrews in anyway, but things like this in the old testament are really bothering me and I feel bad for the eygitians. Its sounds like he only made them so they could be bestoryed. What about the people who did not get on Nhaos ark and I now I hate both the Right Winged Christians and Islamics alike, because they both seem to have this god, a god who only makes people so they could destroyed by his fowllers and takes sides in times of war. Would some one please explaine to me why he did those things to those people and what happen to them when they died?

God gave Pharoah a command through Moses. Pharoah, as head of Egypt, disobeyed. God took the first born of Egypt as a warning of judgement upon Pharoahs negligence. It did not have to come to that. Pharoah had several opportunities to obey God.

You see, the more that we disobey God, the harsher penalities we lay in store for ourselves. The worse penalty is the death penalty.

As far as what happened to the Egyptian dead, I don't know. The text doesn't say. It says they died. It doesn't say that any went to heaven or hell. I leave the judgement to God.

This is one of many reasons I can't make myself believe in the Bible at all. It's so contradictory. God is said to be loving and kind, and yet he's killed millions of people. It makes no sense at all, and I cannot see how others can buy into it. (But then again, I'm not them, so I can't exactly judge them. ;))

Well, God is loving and kind, but He is also Just. If He did not enact justice at some point when injust actions occur, He would not be a perfect God, worthy of worship.

According to Genesis, it was the disobedience of Adam that brought death into the world. God did not create a world with death, but human immortality was meant for humans.

After Adam, all men tast of death. Mankind has been set on the path of sin. Just as gravity carries a falling object ever downwards to the bottom of a cliff, the path that Adam set humanity on toward death is immutable.
All men are destined to death. that is the reality of sin, just as an eventual crash is the inevitable reality of a falling object.

Once death entered the world though, God can uses death for the further instruction of mankind, and to enable us to begin to understand God's plan for our salvation.

God does encourage us to seek life and good things (not selfish things). He does not take pleasure in death.

I can not explain the OT ways, and yes there are disturbing things going on, but I do not blame God, I am sure what goes around comes around (we reap what we sow). The history of the world is full of violence, you can see it not only in the bible, but in any scholarly account of world history. Maybe researching the cultures will give you more insight why they would maybe deserve such things, if you also seek your conscience to guide you about right and wrong also. many tribes have practiced rampant muder, and to them they see that as natural and needed, kill before you get killed. would you like to live in a society like that as a child? even family members killing each other? I have seen many reports, and this kind of thing still has gone on even in our recent history. so, we may not know all things that happened and why God has judged and brought big punishment sometimes. But we are all sinners, and He desires we all seek life and goodness and righteousness.

"And Flesh was corrupted"

God destroyed the people via the Flood, because they were not completely human in their genetic make up.

I hope I have given an answer to this question for you.

God Bless
