CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

. Well I think that anyho. But that aint gonna convince many people out there now is it.I would say that to follow Christ is the noblest course a person could undertake as Christ, the cross bearer, was, alone, free from sin. It is also good to accept the teachings of the gospel as it shows us the means by which our salvation has been obtained.

Why Christianity?
It is the only religion in the world that offers forgiveness of sin rather than a life long plan of good works that may or may not get you into Heaven.
Rather than a life of servitude to a code of conduct that no human being can ever achieve, Christ paid the debt for us. All anyone ever has to do is accept this precious gift from God.

Why Christianiy?
Because you get to put a fish on the back of your car. (insert smiley).
Because it is the only religious claim that has held up to my nit-picking and inquiry. I was offered salvation by the teachings of Jesus and I found salvation by starting to follow those moral and spiritual teachings. Life is a journey though and religion is a vehicle for part of that journey. Can you point me towards a better vehicle?

Actually if you havent notice, religion is the cause of separation, faith is not. Faith and religion are 2 different things, in a sense of understanding them both. In the bible, the word religion is only mention it 2 times, and that should tell you something right there. I think the word religion means something else , from what people use it now, but i wont discuss that part.
Now, the word christianity is not found in none of the bibles. I think the later people added the ITY to separate theirself from other religions, and now we have christianity and others, but in reality, everyone is suppose to be in the same type of faith.
So if i was you, i would just see things as a christian and remember that we all are christians in our hearts, and dont see things a christainity viewpoint. Christianity is just another religion, nothing more to it.
