  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

working in a foreign country, has a different accent and culture, not the best looking guy around town and don't know where to start... church has been alrite but no one i'm very interested in.... maybe that's good cos it will be easier to leave this town for job opportunities elsewhere.

THis is part of the reason for me PLUS I have a VERY gray past with men treating me like UTTER DIRT so I do not trust. BUT I do believe that there is A WONDERFUL reason for this....GOD wanted me to be with my guardian angel. There is SO much showing me that is what God wants. SO am I "single" NO but MARRIED NO WAY cause angels DO not marry PLUS there is NO marriage in HEAVEN according to the Bible!
I am VERY happy and content with my angel and I love him so! He has treated me better than ANY other MAN has in my life!

Because whenever I meet someone, fate tears us apart...

I'll meet her right before I move, right before she leaves for a 5 year missions trip to Guam, when I'm visiting friends out of state, and/or when I'm going through other stuff that makes dating an impossibility.



*sigh* At least it gives me hope to know that there are still a few nice, dateable, single women out there who I have good chemistry with.

Because I'm still not married?

Most people don’t believe me at first when I answer them that I'm not married (or never have been). Then I have to try to convince them that I'm not gay.

Why? Why ask why? I'm open to it, just haven't.

Yeah, same here, been some years. Actually my last GF was my fiancé and that was like ten years ago. For a long time after that I just didn’t want to go through it again, maybe soon if I meet someone that is a match (which I would think would be unlike me... the missing parts).

[I really don't meet all that many people on a dating basis, or even many christian single people to speak of. Although it only takes one, it's hard to meet the right person if you don't even meet much of any! At one point, my sister and I were down to counting 'sightings' of single Christian folks of appropriate gender! (I actually had more sightings last year than I had in the previous five, but most of the fish were swimming in pairs or weren't hungry for any bait - just lots of bobbers!). I sometimes wonder if there truly are any down-to-earth bible-believing Christian single women who would be interested in an intelligent, hard-working, committed, fit, single Christian, non-party guy who enjoys the deeper things of life (friends, family, nature, thought, sharing, etc) still exist (one of those rare NT types).

Yes, there are some Bible-believing/practicing women looking for a man such as you. My ex-boyfriend had a very similar school experience as you, became a devoted follower at 20 and is still looking at 45. He dumped me after making me believe we would be getting married. So, it goes both ways.

lol!! I def have a gf. I also have lots of ex's. And i am picky. You'd say the same thing if you met her.

To me not single = ring on finger. I don't pick up girls while i have a gf obviously, but you u know what i mean.

Well for one, I feel like God is calling for me to enjoy my season of singleness and not treat it like a curse, but rather a time to develop myself as a individual person. Right now, I am focusing on my education and preparing myself for the future. I feel like when the tiime is right God will open the door for me rather than me trying to kick it down because it is currently closed.

Let's see, I was in a relationship for about 5 years with my ex-girlfriend; wom I lived with. We broke up in February of 2004 and it's been ups and downs ever since; have not found anyone where it's worked out between us. I just don't know anymore, but I do know that I am sick and tired of being sick and tired, and that Satan's lies are really doing a number on me right now even though that I know that they are nothing but lies.
