And by the way, every true translation of the Bible are all translated from the same thing. the only difference was different people. truth be told if all translations are different then which is the true one.
these threads should not be used to argue our point of view, they should be used to help people who are actually in a moral problem.
Why are we bickering or "debating" over; whether gay marriage is acceptable, whether someone should be babtized, or whether arranged marriages are good or bad. The Bible clearly states it's oppinion about these things. We shouldn't start asking questions about morality if it has nothing to do with us. for example:
two men start a thread asking whether gay mariage is acceptable.
the first man starts it because he's just curius to see how people react.
the second man actually has a problem, his daughter wants to marry another woman.
which is more important?
Another Example
two women start threads about abortion.
one is actually in a problem where she is pregnant because of a fool mistake, and is wondering what the right thing to do is.
but the second is just trying to support abortion or tear down abortion.

I'm not saying that. I am saying that it is more important to help others than it is to "debate"
well then I think they should have a section specifically for moral issues.
Just about every thread in here is about homosexuality and gay marriage. It's gotten out of hand. Even though I have made a few threads in the past about it, mainly because I feel like I won't get noticed if I don't discuss it around here.
And some of the posters here are a bit mean, this is supposed to be a Christian forum and I am surprised by some of their attitudes. I'd expect this on a non Christian forum, but here, I have higher expectations.
Okay. Well that explains the not so polite responses. You haven't been here long enough to remember the Non-Christian religion section of the site have you? Before the new regime CF became a very welcome place to Non-Christians and had special sections dedicated just to us. That is when many of us found CF and many of us have chosen to stay, so not it is not JUST a Christian forum. It may be primarily catering to Christians but it at least has a section dedicated to open debate for people of all religions and philosophies.
Okay. Well that explains the not so polite responses.
Which part? The fact that non-Christians are allowed on the site? That seems awfully short-sighted of you. What about the nasty responses from Christians to Non-Christians? Do those not count or are they less bad because they come from a Christian?
I don't know who is and is not a Christian here, but I have experienced very sensitive posters who get very argumenative and mean.

Sorry that some don't meet your criteria for nice (not-mean), or your expectations, but despite what you consider to be the nature of the forum--Christian--and the behavior you expect, not everyone is going to measure up--Christian or not. I suggest you take a more open (forgiving?) attitude and try to understand that not everyone who wishes to participate here has been as fortunate as yourself, and are still struggling to become as good. And some of the posters here are a bit mean, this is supposed to be a Christian forum and I am surprised by some of their attitudes. I'm done with the debate section. You all should be lawers.

Guys, I think she may have insulted us...
Did she say 'lawyers' ...?
Then she most DEFINITELY insulted us!
Could of been worse.
They could of said we should all be politicians
